    Misread thread titles

Sometimes the thread titles are more interesting when you glance down the list and misread one or two, or possibly misinterpret them.

"PP longshot" - YAY, a new model from PP.

"Bail Recommendations for Two Middle Aged Blokes" - so what was it they did to need bail????

    The "Daft Thread" usually is.

Not really a misread title, but I find H&V is one area where an ambiguous thread causes the viewing figures to rocket.

This causes more of us to view it, creating a cycle of interest that's a bit of an anticlimax.

    For example:

    John Smith - an absolute...

And we have to open the thread to see what kind of absolute noun John Smith is.

Sky used to shorten the programme titles on their old platform...

I was intrigued by the programme title - Extreme Fis.....

Only to discover it was related to fishing

Surprised to find this thread is still going

I had one today: "Wedding Band Re-sizing" - I assumed they wanted to add a bass player or something.

EDIT: Also, whenever I see the "BrexitWatch" thread, I think the forum is planning a special edition commemorative watch for the big event.

How about pictures of enormous breasts being visible? Always makes me cringe when I scroll down the pages whilst on the train commute.

If you keep your trousers on you're less likely to draw attention to yourself.

Don't ask me how I know this.

I ran a statistically significant study where 1000 volunteers each undertook 100 train journeys.

On half of the journeys, they took their trousers off. The remaining journeys were undertaken in a state of sartorial completeness.

By measuring the response of fellow commuters, we established beyond reasonable doubt that travelling in an advanced state of undress engendered more attention.

I hope that is a satisfactory reply. Let me know if you need to see the White Paper on this subject.
