Is there a smart way to lose a £60k watch?

Nope, but this was a particularly impressive level of stupidity.

Agreed. So much so that I don't even feel sorry for him.

I guess this will be the last time he attends a " Vanderpump party".

I guess you could expect this, after all, his name is Leavitt for Pete's sake.

I don’t even believe his story.

Anyway, I moved from “no sympathy” to “negative sympathy, glad he lost $60k, and good luck to the perps” when I read ‘I feel like I was raped, basically”.

Which part, the way he lost the watch or his particular example of analogy?

He said it was a present and he didn't really like it anyway........Well that's the story I'm going with if anyone asks where I got it ;-)

Does anyone believe that story? It comes across as an attempt at a bit of publicity. Bet the 'theft''never gets reported to the police.

Agreed. A good deal of story is just blatant name dropping that has nothing to do with the theft, followed by a plug for some upcoming project. I doubt that he ever even had a Patek. Looks like he's copy catting the Kardashians' theft/publicity stunt.

A pretty disgusting comparison isn't it. Plus I don't believe it either

Yes- I too have no idea how losing a Patek Nautilus compares to having someone force their penis into someone.

IF his level of mindless stupidity IS for real, he does not deserve to own a £10 watch from Amazon, never mind a PP. It is a wonder that one of the guys in the taxi did not ask to try his wallet to see if it fits comfortably in their back pocket. Darwin fodder for the future!

Still, thanks to the Mail and its quality journalism, we all know all about the Vanderpumps ;) and I am sure they’ll be happy to divert some funds to sort him out with a PP.

    Note to self.
Always let a stranger look after most expensive thing I own, then leave them for with it for 10 mins.
I suppose it saved him from getting mugged in the toilet.

And then publisize your stupidity in a national newspaper to confirm you really are the moron everybody expected you to be

Daily Mail website - refuse to go there on principle! From people's comments it sounds like usual Mail story with a dubious relationship to reality!

I'm reading words such as robbed, heist & even rape.

Well in reality all that has happened is that he supposedly gave his watch to someone to wear then forgot about it. (I would presume he was too drunk to remember).
From what I can understand from the article is that no actual crime has taken place

It's a lie. About as convincing as that American swimmer's story at the Olympics....

But... but... He says West Hollywood Police Department are “going crazy with this”! Apparently they even called the taxi company.

God works in mysterious ways and recently seems to have called upon French Jewel thiefs and American Grifter teams
