For literature! Fantastic result in my opinion (others may disagree)

No disagreement here. Didn't he have "poet" on his passport?

    Good result!
some fantastic lyrics over the years

Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves
Let me forget about today until tomorrow.

Good old Bob - surprised it's taken the Nobel judges this long to recognise him.

"Like a rolling stone" is the greatest, funniest and most vitriolic anti-love song ever written.

I'm a huge fan. His biography is a right good read too.

Yep,no problem with that whatsoever ,nice to see his genius being recognised while he is still with us .
Far too many great writers and artists only receive recognition when they have passed away .

Always felt that he is the greatest lyricist ever in terms of songwriters and by some margin. Well deserved imo.

Dynamite talent - though I suspect he's got plenty stashed for a (hard) rainy day already

As ever, the Scandinavians prove themselves to be progressive, and move with the times.

Only cultural snobbery differentiates song lyrics from "higher literature".

    Next year, Kanye West?

He's not a bad artist either.
