A lot. I know of two people who have turned down watches. A sub and explorer 2 as the investment value is no longer there like it was. Neither were what you would call enthusiasts. I imagine these people make up most of the lists.

    Alanski's correct though Kerry
With all the AD's you're in touch with surely they can get you one and especially as the uptake is low.
    Shouldn't be a problem.

£9,815 from WF for a cash sale on a 2022+ 126610 without stickers so I’m not sure who is going to give a brand new one to your mate at RRP or a smidge over.

Well, in an ideal world, it would be the person who gets offered one by an A.D. tries to sell it to watch Finder and gets offered under retail when I’m prepared to give them retail and a monkey on top. Don’t worry boys I’ve picked up the sly comments suggesting that in my position I should be able to just pull one off the shelf but we all know that doesn’t happen however the gentleman in question has registered with a number of ADs and is a very well renowned and highly charitable businessman that’s done an immense amount for his local community and I’m simply trying to help the fellow out.

No sly comments from me. Couldn’t care less what he’s done in his life or for his community.

You were asking for a brand new watch for RRP or a smudge above and when quizzed you’ve changed it to £500 over RRP which is still £315 less than WF are currently offering.

You’re trying to help him out under the going rate and I don’t know why anyone would shortchange themselves just because he’s your mate.

If they were that easy to get at retail how come lots of folk wh0 have decent spend still waiting for one ?

Surely you know enough people to know that there's still a premium on them rather than try get one off here ?

Maybe tell.him to go buy am explorer 1 or 2 instead he may have a chance of one of them as the favour u doing them of paying them retail

Mallory in bath told my FIL 10yrs for an LV sub when I asked him to pop in and got for the list for me, as he just bought 2 OPs. Clearly a joke.

Stock appears to be arriving in the Greater London area, aware of a few acquaintances “”getting the call”” over the last few weeks. Not sure on your timescale but if it’s a few months you just might get what you want - that aside Used RV will start dropping off further I feel.

Im on hols in New York . There are numerous AD ‘s all have windows full of the whole range and…………..the little for exhibition only signs. Another observation is even the big dealers like Wempe have no customers in. Even the Rolex shop in Heathrow T5 was empty, not a soul other than bored looking staff. They must be feeling the pinch somewhere along their supply chain.

No customers in the store / Still no stock / = No sales , it just doesn't make sense.

I went into Goldsmiths in Liverpool today, popped over for an eye test so called in for a laugh. A small display of new PM watches available for sale and a fairly impressive cabinet of their new Rolex approved pre owned watches. Prices were high, but nice to see a Black and White steel Daytona, Hulk, Kermit, SD 16600, GMT Pepsi etc etc.

A bit like the old days, only with a higher price tag, but I’m sure with the tourist trade during the summer there will be plenty of buyers delighted to snap these up.

That's not what he said at all but if that's how you interpret it, fair enough. I think the bottom line for anyone is whether or not you want to play the game and if you do, follow his advice and you might, get a watch.

If it was a listed entity, I’d say shareholders would be asking some tough questions. Agree it doesn’t seem to make much sense - and it’s hard to see sales going straight out the door to serve lists of speculative “investors” in the current economy.

Popped into the T5 shop a couple of weeks ago asking if they had a titanium Yachtmaster for me to try.

No, not had one, and suggested that the only way I'd get to see one would be to fly to Switzerland.

Bloody goldsmiths, got an email titled “your registration of interest” and got briefly excited that I had been chosen.

Alas just an offer to update my interest with them if I have changed my mind!

Pragnell’s Stratford yesterday. Plenty of ss exhibition pieces in cabinets inside the shop. In the window pm pieces only, but they were real watches for sale. One SA said that although grey prices are softening, supply is still very limited. Also, as an aside, regarding PP, they are not allowed to sell to anybody who is not ‘local’ (how local was not defined)

I love the one year warranty bit. Means we have done sod all and will take a punt. If we sell 100 watches and one or two come back, we will deal with those, far cheaper than servicing 100 watches. On a par really with those back street garages that offer you a three month warranty on any used car,

I think SA's make up stuff most of the time for their own entertainment whilst sitting in the store with nothing to sell.

I’ve not watched the video but I think if you went in every day and chatted with them for an hour or so, whilst stinking of stale piss, the watch of your choice would become available rather quickly!

Not that I’ve ever tried this of course.

Best of luck with that if anything went wrong in the first year especially if it needed rolex only parts it's basically sold as seen whatever they claim
