Plenty of nice Rolex in WoS Cardiff.
2 Daytona and one GMT all close to a £30k asking price. Couple of ND's as well. Window totally stuffed with Datejusts of all types.
The used Hulk that I mentioned previously was still in Jopsons' (Carlisle) window yesterday - £6495.

LOL ok please tell us which AD has these SS Daytonas and BLNR plenty. Im sure EVERYONE will appreciate.
Btw in case you havnt noticed, we are talking about ADs. We all know we can pay DOUBLE retail for a daytona. Thats not the point.
Ceramic Pepsi is available EVERYWHERE in ADs. Gold DAYTONAS are available EVERYWHERE.
So do tell then what is rare about a Daytona? I can walk into an AD, slap down around £30k and walk out with a Daytona. That's not "rare". I'll grant you there are not many SS ones about because Rolex know they can sell all the gold ones they can pump out. They are not hording the SS ones up, they are just not making them. People who can "only" afford a SS Daytona are not the target market.
BTW I've been offered (not asked for) a BLNR twice in the last 12 months while browsing in WoS who are an AD. However in fairness the watch was not "in the window" on either occasion.
Seriously , this thread is meant to help people and your arguing over definition of what is rare

Presumably the moment that a watch is available and in a window then that's the moment that it's insufficiently worthy of being reported in this thread?
Have you not been keeping up with the Daytona threads, most ADs have closed their waiting lists for the new SS Daytona and those that will put you on are quoting a 7 to 10 years wait. It is unlikely that anyone will see a SS Daytona in an ADs window at RRP.
As stated, there are plenty of TT models and all gold and even platinum - but in the crazy world of Daytona cheap and nasty SS for poor people is more desirable than the precious metal varieties.
Do report here if you see one as someone on here will ring that AD within 5 mins and put a deposit down over the phone without even seeing it.
I agree with what has been mentioned earlier in the thread-
I.e.: if you see in an AD window at list price-
a D-Blu Deepsea
a Stainless steel Daytona
a black and blue GMT
Then it's worth posting........any other models are now fairly easy to get with a bit of nous.
Sub and 2 DSSD's in the window of the new Chisolm Hunter on Princes St Edinburgh a couple of hours ago...
They don't appear to be main agents and they have one on the website for £7,500.....which is a 2011 example, with no mention of any Rolex warranty / documents.
I'll stick with my original thoughts; the above would be in line with the stock they have tried to sell elsewhere in the country. Similar specification watches are available from more specialist sellers for about £1,000 less.
If the shop is nice and they have a lovely champagne bar then that's delightful. Just ask yourself who'll be paying for that!

Apparently the new day-dates are a bit of a pig to get hold of as well
My opinion on this is irrelevant. If it was made of tinfoil, the dust from mars or rhino's tusk it's still a £30k watch and the demand for that kind of thing is smaller!
I can afford £5k on a watch (as can a lot of posters on the forum judging by how many of us have them) but I can't afford £30k (ditto)

From an outside of London AD push for 15% off, will be tough but maybe if you play a few off against each other.
I think listing SS subs and GMTs here is still useful as they are not so easy to find still and saves people time. GMTC was in Brent Cross FH today, altho there were people trying to get at it while I was trying it on...
Dealers outside of London work on the same margin on a watch as a dealer in London so there is no land of milk and honey where dealers give massive discounts outside London I'm afraid.
You're as likely to have a dealer in London wanting the business and giving a discount as you are in Edinburgh.
Dealers in London have larger volume targets to meet too so if they need to shift some watches a discount is more likely.
My last car was bought from a London dealer as it was the highest discount so it doesn't necessarily follow that outside London is necessarily the best deals
At the end of the day a desirable model they know they can shift be it London or anywhere else and all dealers will be tight on discounts.
Models that don't "fly out the door" will obviously be more amenable to reductions.
No, there isn't a queue of people wanting WG models anywhere so prices are negotiable, and in the larger towns they have a larger population plus tourists and regular business travellers who will buy but will not bother searching out smaller town ADs. The vast majority of people spending £25K on a watch are not on forums and looking for deals, they want to pay full retail or close to it for a Veblen Good and then brag about it, that is the whole point of a Rolex for most people. Most do not even ask for a discount or have the balls to.

Sorry. I am a bit confused. Why is an AD selling the 2017 SD at that price. !!!! Should it not be at Rolex list price ? That figure is not U.K. list price is it?

Bump. Sightings of SS Subs, BLNR, Daytonas, Skydwellers and SeaDwellers welcome.
Quite a decent selection in Zurich airport on Wednesday.
Was quite taken with this, bit I think I will hold out for the blue dial.

I tried that model on this week. Too much gold for my tastes.
