You noticed the HEV but not whether it had ‘DEEPSEA’ or ‘SEA DWELLER’ in red on the dial?!

It was odd circumstances. Was probably going to get it anyway as I can never seem to find one when I travel. Was all set to complete purchase and fill out vat free forms when I was told that because I have a work visa I'm not eligible. Sales assistant goes to speak to manager and they gave me 10% off sticker price which was about vat equivalent. Reasoning given was that it had been in stock prior to the local government rules changes. However now that the amount has come off the account it wasn't as good a deal as expected once you factor in the bank exchange rates.

Explorer in the window of Goldsmiths in Eldon Sq, Newcastle. First time I’ve seen one in a dealer’s window in months.

    Also had the Airking.

Tried on both. Not for me.

What's funny is. Spoke to AD in Sheffield and they'd just had a sports delivery. All sold mind. In that was a deep-sea, sub non date and an air king

Are the subs not easy to come by? I know Daytona steel and gmt steel are hard to come by but thought subs were easily sourced.

Well there was nothing in WOS to note, also visited them, as I was in the city centre it was rude to not go in.

GMT like everyone else and the new JC, but also looking for a datejust 31 and so far best discount I was getting was 7%.

I’m back there in 3 days... chances it will be there still?! Anything else SS wise?

Chances zero I'd have thought I'm afraid bud. Been through there probably 15 times in the last 6 months and first I've ever heard of. And I drop in every time.

He notified me with a nod and a wink as seems to be the case these days. Only skydwellers, plenty of YMs in display. I spent most of the weekend rolling around Sukhumvit and was scoffed at every time I enquiried about any SS sports

They wouldn't even let me see it, let alone try it on before my payment had cleared :-p

That’s ridiculous! I was looking around the MBK Center and there was some stalls claiming to sell genuine... assume this is bs? Any experience?

Not sure if this is tongue in cheek - but I wouldn't buy a Seiko in MBK without having the back off it 🙂 Ryan, our resident expert might know best though!

In Budapest today and there was sweet FA in the window of the coty’s only AD. Old Exp 1 in the widow with white gold 369 for the equivalent of £5,700, black Exp2, SS YM and the usual two tone suspects.

I live in Budapest... very nice in th AD but even when in stock, the forex to U.K. and 27% VAT makes it all very expensive. They had a ND sub in there but it was 6750 GBP!

MBK is one of the best places to buy a Seiko - particularly the Ltd Edition stuff. Buy the seller of course.

I wouldn't buy a Rolex in there though!

If in Thailand the best place to get leads for Seikos is on lazada.co.th. It's kind of like Amazon for Thai people but the retailers have their addresses etc so you can arrange to go in store

And an absolutely massive attitude if you go in and say anything other than “can I have what’s in the window”

Didn't find that myself. Got a perfectly nice response from lady when I enquired as to list length for Sub date ("closed but can I help with anything else"?) and a pleasant 15 minutes trying on the blue dial YM (I didn't buy it).

There was one in brufords in Eastbourne last week. Probably gone now though.

They do have a serviced 2015 model in their second hand section though. I’d have bought it but at £4500 it’s a bit pricey for me!

Canary Wharf WoS is unbelievable. Aware there are a lot of people in a small proximity but surely they should check their allocations

Can we all agree not to mention Exp1/2, Air King, YM, Black DSSD etc? These can be had anywhere.

I’d remove the explorer 1 from that list as it’s not often in the window although not as rare as the main protagonists.

I think we also need to include Any TT or PM models in the excluded list too.

Why do we need to remove anything? It’s not like there’s a post every 10 minutes in this thread. ;)
