Seems like a spooky coincidence given that the starting RRP is $12,750. I was offered the watch at $11,475 and the only reason that comes out to GBP 8250 is the change in the $ exchange rate last week (when I was offered the watch and the rate was nearer 1.42+) I would have quoted GBP 8,050 ish and next week who knows !

I spend a fair bit of time travelling up and down the UK and always have a look in any local Rolex dealer - don’t know what is going on but it’s a couple of years since I saw one of the desirable SS watches in stock
By way of contrast grey dealers seem to have popped up in most big towns and are packed with the SS watches - Wilmslow and central Manchester being cases in point

Laings in Southampton, EXP and polar EXP2, air king in window. A bit OT but they have a few PAMs at great prices. 722 and 619 included.

Have yet to see an AirKing on a wrist in the wild. Future classic material.

Yes but they are "new" ie full warranty etc. The 722 is 2017 manufacture going by the case code, the 619 2015.

Do not think that will ever be called or classified as classic Rolex. Absolute disaster of a watch.

Very often seen in Edinburgh AD's windows.

Saw one last week on the tube at the traditionally intimate distance. I just didn't get the dial; looked clumsy with all those numbers in different sizes.

    That’s because nobody’s buying it.

Fugly, and will never be a classic

Air king is maybe a stab at being different, maybe not executed perfectly but what do we want or desire? Keep rolling out the Daytona, submariner with change of material to a bezel? I really think that there must be £15 spent by Rolex on new ideas and designs, yes the old statement if it ain’t broke don’t fix it comes to mind but at least give them a chance to try something new, I’m sure the Daytona all those years back looked very strange, I like the air king, maybe I don’t have taste? Who cares opinions are like arseholes.....

And it’s that lack of sales that will drive a future demand.

When it comes to sport models it would appear that the least appreciated redheaded stepchild become the most valuable as time goes by.

Great to see them next to Citizen in Japanese electronic retailer. No fuss about it. Brilliant!

If I walked past that I'd just assume they were selling an impressive selection of fakes! Really highlights the fact that they are just watches, nothing more.

Just to see a ceramic bezel in a shop at list would be nice.

Do you think this shop will be operating Rolex's alleged "two per person per year" scheme?

Just through Heathrow T5. Absolutely packed out with watches. Didn't see a single empty pillow. Yet not a single SS sports watch among them. Doesn't matter though as I managed an exceptional deal on this before I left the country i was in.

If anyone fancies a trip to Azerbaijan they had both deep seas in the Hyatt boutique. Bit far for a casual purchase though.

Probably best to keep this thread to naming the stores that have new watches at RRP, as there's no shortage of dealers selling desirable models at a premium.

By exceptional deal do you mean RRP less VAT or better than that?

That would have been a nice buy, but I'm in the wrong country at the minute!

I was speaking with a guy in Heathrow, and he bought a green glass Milgauss- I still love the original GV (and hate the later version)

They only had a YM blue dial, or the Everose PM models in. Apologised for not having my SkyDweller in, but will hopefully arrange it the next time I'm flying through- happy days 😊
It's just a matter of time...

No it wasn’t. Was just the plan black model.
I would have brought it if it was and been cheeky and flipped it on again. But the purchase price is also quite high even at RRP compared to the U.K.

This is for another thread but the difference in “tone” after they saw the Hulk on my wrist was interesting. Wish all AD’s would treat customers equally
