Explorer, Explorer 2, 2 steel oyster perpetuals(one inside), white dialled Milgauss and a two tone sub in Rennes.

I thought the white dial Milgauss was discontinued a while ago??
Obviously not a popular buy in Rennes if it has been in the window for that long!
Here's the question - as it's discontinued shouldn't they be selling it at the RRP which won't have changed as it's not a current model? For the anal here does that constitute paying above list?
Just been back I to try a few on.........must resist!!
The sub was far too big unfortunately.

where was that please? been looking for a new white dial Milgauss for a while now.... Ta!
Wow! Can't believe there's a new unsold one at an AD! Weren't they discontinued 8/9 years ago?
Got mine (pre-owned!) last week and loving it! Hope you can grab one.
EDIT: Earlier post from Alan says Rennes!

Just popped in to Bedford to drop some paperwork off and on impulse walked round to John Bull & Co to have a quick squiz in their window. Quite a few DJ 41's, a couple of steel / platinum YM's one mid size and one full and a bunch of OP's including a lovely grape dial. Didn't think to get pictures as I was parked controversially but might be worth someone's time.
The jewelers a few doors down had an explorer but it was pre-owned but under 5k if memory serves.
Black 39mm OP at goldsmiths intu Watford, and also a white and black 36mm.
Both black and white OP 39 in harrods last time I went there - although they do go fast
Black dial OP39 and blue dial DJ in Goldsmiths In Reading just a few minutes ago.
Blue dial steel Datejust 41 is available at Fraser Hart Kingston Upon Thames, if anyone is on the lookout for one.
369 Arabic Dial Oyster Perpetual 36mm (AKA the poor man's Explorer I) in Eldon Sq Goldsmiths today. I'm actually astounded that this is news but hearing these are now in greys above list...
Just spotted a pretty nice vintage collection in a couple of shops in Switzerland.
40mm Grey dial blue seconds hand YM in WoS Royal Exchange. Never thought these were hard to get but think everything is now.
@outatime - Do you happen to have the names of the two Swiss shops?

I’m here for another couple of weeks if you’d like me to pick up anything for you! ;)
Hi Hood. I was speaking to someone selling a 43mm SD on Chrono24. They live in the uk but purchased it in Switzerland. I asked about vat a few days ago and they replied as follows “there is no issue with vat and no import duty for buying in Switzerland.”
I did a bit of digging but didn’t really get any clarity on it all. My main concern was resale and servicing etc if it leaves the country.

39mm grape dual OP in Weir and Sons Dublin
In fact they had a couple
And the 36mm
No sports
Was through Schippol on Wed past and noticed that they'd changed up the display cases. Instead of having 4 cases with pillow displays for maybe 20-25 watches each, they've put in 4 x displays that hold about 9 each. Still not a great look when a dedicated shop barely has any stock.
Rolex dealer in Ulan Bataar has in an SD43 at a rather eye watering £13,500, plus the buyer is required to buy a “classic” Rolex too. When I said that seems quite a lot over list price (Dj’s were slightly cheaper than UK list) he just shrugged.
Things are a little different here....

I didn’t want to start a dedicated thread because it would cause all the usual consternation, so thought this would be the best thread for a quick bit of advice...
Does anyone have a view as to the average waiting time for a green Sub?
I don’t have a purchase history with an AD, but I do own an older Sub and would not come across as a profiteer due to the sentimental reasons for purchase...
Fool’s errand or? I realise that this isn’t a question which can be answered accurately, and that it depends on what happens with the market and availability.
One thing I’ve read is to visit a non-London AD and be specific as to what you want, have the cash ready, etc - which all makes sense.
Go grey & have it on your wrist tomorrow

Thanks both... might see if the situation changes over the next year or two...
Re: grey dealers, I like the current green Sub a lot, but think it’s worth about list, maybe a grand or so more... at the £12k mark it doesn’t make sense... I’d be looking at vintage Subs/the 16610LV.
Regardless, that price bracket is just too much money for me at the moment... I take it the black Sub Date would be an easier quarry?
