    Interesting as it’s a 2023 model

Makes no sense at all when you look at the rest of their stock, unless I’m missing something.

It's going that way...next step to get the ball rolling...writing to WOS to make a subject access request.

Yeah I understand the sharing part but what I was trying to highlight is that they are clear that they will create a profile of you for marketing reasons.

Now many marketing platforms do this digitally, using rich data to create a profile that infers what a user is most likely to respond positively to from a marketing perspective but in this case WOS seem to be using it to decide whether they will let you buy a specific watch or not - it is basically a way to discriminate

That notice is only relevant for data they are collecting via the website. If they collect and process data in the real world, they need written consent.

Has anyone asked WOS to provide them with the data they hold on them? If asked, they have one month to provide you with any information they hold on you.

"Under data protection law, anyone can ask if your organisation holds personal information about them - you must respond to their request as soon as possible, and within one month at most. GOV.UK"

Image every watch forum member asking WOS to provide members with their data, it would would cause them a massive headache.

I’ll leave that to someone who never wants another watch.

Can see how that's going to go: "sorry, who are you? Ok. <delete> No sorry, no information held about you at all."

Do you think they would keep a data register about who has asked them for their personal data so they can use that data to discriminate against them?

That would be very brave indeed, given the fines for breaches of GDPR.

If you "succeed" in buying a Rolex from these people, then you didn't buy your lovely watch from a fellow watch-lover, but from an insincere data-hoover: you can be sure that every bit of seemingly pleasant frivolous chit-chat about your personal and professional life on the road to that moment has been weighed up a Stasi tribute act. What a lovely thought to be reminded of, every single time you look at your watch.

I wouldn't think so - GDPR compliance should be built into their systems by now. Data extract should be a one-button press.

There isn't now which is very welcome. Alot below RRP stuff especially in PM that are better buys at Greys but as stated just be transparent and respect the guidelines and all will be fine. Those that are registered with several AD's might wonder why they don't get many calls.

For me it’s a bit like anonymous surveys at work. They are more than likely completely anonymous and come with no consequence but I’m not willing to risk it.

I decided that the dial wasn't quite what I wanted when I looked deeper. There are better blues. The DD was always a under retail piece used along with some of the precious metal subs. Indeed the WG blueberry would be a better buy at Grays as would many others. Offered Slate DD WG at £28's so again a better than retail price

A simple article from Professional Watches claiming that used Rolex prices are strong but falling. Nothing new which this thread hasn’t already included though it’s always nice to be given a chart. Things must be true when you’re given a chart.

watchcharts.com Rolex “index” hit a high in May 2022 and now 27% lower. Mind you, still where it was April/May 2021. Can’t access long term data for specific models without paying. (Also, prices in US$ as I understand and presumably in the US market.)

That’s good that date just are coming through. I’m looking a 41 mm fluted blue dial DJ.

Image he’s nicked from the Rolex website shows list of £13,350. The fact that he’s selling for less within a month surely means he got a discount. Yacht-Masters must be the most unloved models so not surprised if they’re the first to drop in price if the bubble is slowly deflating.

Probably gaudy two tone version(s). Each to their own, but I’d have a perfectly proportioned (read not affected by sports line up bloating) steel/platinum Yachtmaster over any of the ubiquitous Submariner or GMT line up.

Good relationship if you can collect next week or so.

The dealers can’t get new stock until current stock is sold so they are every keen to move it on quickly.

Anything in two charts is absolutely irrefutable . Certainly whilst training folk, no one ever debated a a chart:)

I think Rolex watches must be very disappointing in the metal as I keep seeing people going into the AD to buy a Rolex but leaving empty handed.

Still plenty chancers out there. Some jeweller on eBay listing a 41mm OP with “celebration” dial.

    Wait for it - £31,500.

No it's not really anything like that, well apart from the champagne.

More a chance to keep in touch with a group of people that I actually like and show a little appreciation for the Rolex Professional models they have been able to offer me over the years.

I preferred (and bought) the black dial too, although I am now tempted by the 'Guinness' black/grey/gold two tone GMT on the Jubilee.
