I've changed watched four times today, but had this one on earlier. It's really taken a beating in the last three years, but still in decent shape, despite fairly heavy crystal gouges.

Just over a week ago, I didn't have one. I now have a Republic, which as we all know is the collective noun for more than one Citizen.

My first was the my Promaster Tough BN0217-02E Eco-drive which is the DLC coated version of the new 42mm Toughs. I spotted it in this thread and had seen the SS version on the bracelet reviewed on YouTube.

I was so impressed with it and still hankering after a SS PMT (oops) that a week later, I'd bought a new "Ray Mears 2." If anything, I'm even more impressed with this one, as it has better lume, better WR and is made of Titanium. It is only 40mm and wears smaller, but it's comfy on both the original canvas strap, as well as the WatchGecko rubber Tropical Strap I fitted.

Both are very well built, comfortable and most importantly of all for Quartz watches, the seconds hands hit their makers all the way round the dial. Great value for the money too.

Citizen is a brand I had not really considered before now, but a new world has opened up.

Beautiful, and such lovely condition by the looks of it - I never managed to find a decent one that wasn't overpriced, and I've since stopped looking because they just kept rising. Still, and awesome watch and a true classic.

This arrived today but needs ‘sorting’
I think it’s fab, even better than the ray Mears I had
After reading and rereading the manual and fitting a new capacitor I think I have it running correctly

A basic standard Eco drive chronograph. My only watch that lives on a shelf where it can get some light. Its also been running continuously for at least five years now. What kind of maintenance do these eco drives need?

    Citizen Nighthawk

I’d been looking at reviews of the Citizen Nighthawk for the best part of a year. Last month I placed an order with Creation Watches. It cost a quite reasonable Ł164, though I knew I’d have VAT to pay and a handling fee to DHL. All in, it cost me Ł208, which is something of a bargain. This model has the engraved caseback and bracelet. On eBay new ones are being listed at anything between Ł220 and Ł350.

Anyhow, I’m glad that I finally followed up my interest, especially as Creation no longer have them in stock. It’s a lot of watch for Ł208.

Thank you! Yes, it is quite a piece with this tooth bezel
It is Citizen 800m titanium professional diver, 48mm diameter but L2L only 48 mm so it is quite wearable on smaller hands, light and comfortable. Bezel also has safety mechanism (springs inside) so it clicks downard also (good if you kick somewhere with it), double locking mechanism for battery (quartz) so quite a tool...but I try to keep it as my daily sports wear (for messing up I have cheap G ). Numbers on bezel are machined (raised up), gold colored, applied indices and fat hands also surrounded in gold color which really looks nice under the light. In really good condition considering the age and purpose-it was produced from late 80's to middle 90's (this one is from 1992.) so is it vintage or?
Quite rear piece and a true competitor to Seiko Tuna
Thats it generally, if you want to know more, feel free to ask
Few photos...I photo more the wear
