I'd tell them where to stick their list, pretentious tossers. It's a watch FFS.

To be fair the fact that we are all on a watch forum means we are already pretentious tossers.
Its a guilty secret which would leave you a laughing stock if your mates found out.
    I won't tell if you don't

Very nice indeed but you know what would round up the package, is either explorer II or Day Date. On the second thought I reckon both of them

To be honest I plan on adding a DD40 once funds allow and as long as I can hold back any interim purchases.

I'm not a fan of the ExpII I'm afraid.

Actually in might let the Exp go and just keep the other two until I can add the DD40

    Cool

Lucky chap. Congrats and I love the post. The family photo is the money shot.

    Thanks guys

Thinking over my collection I'm not sure how long the Exp will stay for as I keep picking up the SDc instead so it might go to help make way for the DD40.

Looks great OP, congrats on getting one at list so quickly... have to say that the white dial with the black sub dial rings suits the design with the ceramic bezel much better than the black dial...

All this Daytona talk need to get mine out and start wearing it!

OP- I think the white ceramic Daytona looks the business 👌
    What DD are you after?
    I have a 218238 if you are interested👍!

There's been much talk about grey dealer prices but I don't honestly think £15k for the new Daytona
is that bad when you compare it to some other brands......
I'd much rather spend £15,000 on a stickered up unworn Daytona than 15 grand on a secondhand AP Royal Oak Offshore - the Daytona has far more going for it despite the lower original retail price....

Thanks I had the choice of both but have loved the white from the start.

Looking at the WG DD40 with olive green dial (228239) but I'm not as certain as I originally was, concerns over the durability of gold and my OTT attitude towards marks..

To be honest I fully expected Rolex to price it higher than they did, given the price of the previous gen and the top priced SS watch they sell just under 10k was my guess.

    Thank you mate

Yeah as above I'm a little OTT about my watches and signs of wear, I've actually had another Sub since that one you had (and sold it haha)
