67 at the moment, and all detailed in a spreadsheet I update as the collection grows! Yes, I know, what a sad case .... :-)

For those with mega-collections, what do you do about servicing? :0

Nine; will be eight in a couple of days but I only think of the mechanical ones as part of my collection. The 18th birthday present from parents, 30th from my wife, the g-shock for cycling and the one I wear to wash the car don't count!

I echo the earlier comment about servicing big collections. How on earth do you do it?

I was up to about 15 at one point but have consolidated down to just three,

two good ones and a G-Shock for the gym or when I'm in a location where I don't want thousands of pounds strapped to my wrist.

Some mad collections on this thread. I have 5, but the gmt is the only one worth any 'real' money.

My father once asked me the same question, to which my response was 'How on earth would I know?'

But then, I live in two places and need distractions in both.

You are absolutely right, before joining this place my aspiration was to own a single Rolex. Those were such happy and simple days before you view the Friday thread and now no matter how many watches you have you still think about what is next.

Yeah, I have to admit I don't know either. It goes up and down all the time, and frankly, as long as I'm not spending the grocery money on them, who gives a damn? But if I had to guess, somewhere from twenty to thirty, with one on the way (as per usual )

Technically I think you'd call mine a "hecto-collection" but I simply get work done as and when it becomes necessary. I do try to group watches into batches if possible to try and get a better rate. Clearly this applies to watches where I do not feel the need to send them back to the manufacturer.

Working hard to get it all under control. These are the watches I have sold in the last eighteen months: Milgauss, no-date sub (times two)' SD 4000 , Day Date 40, IWC FA Jones, Grand Seiko Quartz, Rolex Prince.
So now, all that remain are : Rolex Cellini Dual Time, Grand Seiko 109 Spring drive, Grand Seiko Quartz 117 diver watch.
Something I never expected, of all these watches, the GS 109 is the clear favourite. Future plans : sell the GS diver watch , save up and get a ALS 1815 up and down.
And never, ever have more than three watches; all first-rate. We'l see how that goes.

15 I think, but I only wear probably 6-7 on a semi regular basis.

I still have a wish list that will add to this number too. If/when they arrive, they will probably sentence one or two of the current regulars to lifetime imprisonment to the watch box!

Sell some then, I hear you (and my GF) say?... You never know when they might come in handy!

If you ask my wife she would say 4 but actually actually last count was 18, she never looks on the safe
