Hi,
Have recently acquired a beautiful NOS JLC Master Quartz (1972) as well as a new Speedy and with my second Vostok Scuba guy en route, I swore to hold off on buying watches for a while. Note to self, don't assume that offering 50% of the buy it now price won't be accepted! Any hoo, I have quite a nice Seiko Bellmatic on the way and it looks like the case and glass are in good shape but the dial could do with some work. Whilst I have an extensive collection of new (to me watches) I am relatively new to this vintage lark and I was wondering if anyone had ideas re how to approach getting the dial restored a bit and where to go? I live in London and on the Isle of Wight.
Thanks all.
Tom
Seiko dials always seem to survive pretty well compared to other brands. I'll ask my watchmaker for a restoration recommendation, though repainted dials always seem to have a certain 'look' about them that you can spot.
What's actually wrong with it?
