Been looking at top hotels in Vegas for an April trip and I am pretty much decided on the Venetian. Anyone been there and can pass any comments good and bad?
Thanks
Have a look at the Cosmopolitan - bit smaller than the other big names on the strip, but it's fantastic. Really central and makes a lot of the others look dated.
I've not staying there but I've been in and it's amazing and perfectly placed in the middle

The Venetian is nice. You could try the Palazzo as an alternative. Some good deals around especially if you book direct. Wynn does look great does cost a lot more.
The Venetian has a huge casino floor.

I stayed in March and I thought it was pretty good and central. The MGM was also nice down at the other end and do a fabulous buffet breakfast with just about anything you could think of to eat.
I also stayed at Trump towers which is a quiet hotel (no slot machines) which was at the start of our Harley trip covering 1500 miles in 6 days.
Don't cross the roads outwith the pedestrian crossings as we did many times, apparently it's something like $150/ lane if you're unlucky enough to get a jobsworth!
Have a great time.
Great hotel, can't go wrong. Great location on the strip too.
Yep we stayed at the Venetian and would happily go back there. There are some rather nice watch boutiques in the shopping mall under the hotel although a big win at the casino will help with the prices!
We arrived on Memorial Day and it's fair to say the Americans were treating it as a day to party, it was absolutely rocking round by the pool.
Stayed at the Venetian three times, both room and suite, no complaints any trip apart from the breakfasts, couldn't get a decent breakfast in the place
I strayed at The Wynn which was nice. A colleague always stays at the MGM Signature in an apartment. Always seem to be good deals. He really rates the Buffet at The Cosmo.
Yeah we stayed April this year and really enjoyed it. Asked at the desk for a room upgrade and got one of the higher floors with a view of the strip and the new Vegas eye. Lovely hotel rooms huge. Good position in the strip ...all good. Just remember to go shooting :) I went to Battlefield Vegas, picked us up in a hummer FOC just tip the driver. I loved it...wife not so much !!
Nice and central on the strip and dripping in opulence, it was an experience just walking through!
We stayed at the Luxor last time but next time it's a toss up between The Venetian and Bellagio - I think you've made a great choice.
Stayed at the palazzo a couple of times then tried the Wynn now always stay in Wynn tower suites
I loved Ceasers, and got a good deal on Secret Escapes, and went to see Rock of Ages (in Rio) and went to Battlefield Vegas with my boys, and did the Grand Canyon with Mavericks - all recommended from here!!!!! Walking through them, many of the hotels look a bit tired to me - Bellagio, Ceasers, Venitian and some of the new ones (e.g.. Cosmo) look very smart - however my room and the pools at Ceasers were awesome so id stay there again if i went back
Fantastic hotel, stayed there 3 years ago, went to go so phantom of the opera, was the last show in the custom built theatre, my wife was impressed, I hate the theatre though.
It's also tight accross from a great steak/cowboy bar where a lot of celebs go and the steak and beer is good.

Both the Venetian and Palazzo hotels have access to the Canyon Ranch spa. Its probably the best reason to stay there, assuming there is someone in your group that will be taking advantage of the facility. Palazzo also has some of the hottest clubs and restaurants onsite, and tends to be a little less $$.
I think that the Mandarin Oriental is a much nicer hotel, but if you want an in-hotel casino you'll have to look somewhere else.
