I can't remember if this has come up before (hence my username LOL) but searching in Tapatalk didn't find anything, so here goes.
Is there a song that always brings a tear to your eye ? For me, and for no other reason than I think it's a beautiful song, I can't get through Songbird by Fleetwood Mac without welling up, which is slightly embarrassing as I usually listen to the whole of Rumours on the train to work at least a couple of times a week.

I cannot make it beyond the piano opening the song, and have to switch it off.

Shoot man, this track gets me every time. For those of you that have never heard it, do yourself a favour and give it a go. The Bar-Kays were a tight band anyways, but on this track James Alexander and Willie Hall are just sublime, and Isaac over the top on keyboard and vocals, amazing, simply amazing!!
Up their as one of my favourite albums and one of my favourite songs. Incredible listening.

Chance by Big Country is a tester too, reminds me of a relationship I basically ruined.
I'm a huge fan of all sorts of music, I think it is so important too. No surprise that some stuff just gets to us. No surprise at all, I think it triggers something.

I'm not much given to crying generally, but there's a track on the Madonna album, Ray of Light, that I really struggle to listen to.
I don't tear up, but I do find it strangely unsettling...
It's Mer Girl.
Depending on my mood, I often skip over it and generally I think this is a great album (And I'm not generally a fan of Madonna at all...) and a good track.

Annie's Song by John Denver & Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrisson, in fact I'm welling up just typing their names
Wish You were Here by Pink Floyd always bringa tear to my eye too but in a good way so I don't mind listening to that, which is a good job as it's one of my favourite albums
Górecki's Symphony No. 3 - especially the version sung by Zofia Kilanowicz. Controversial piece - but a heart-rending listen.
Actually I've been considering starting a thread just like this for weeks now.
Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells. Superb music and musicianship, and very emotional... I still can't hear the last 30 seconds without getting all teary ;-)

I listened to Leonard Cohen "Suzanne" with a beautiful naked woman silhouetted again a window in European city just as the sun was coming up.
Also "Bird on a Wire' sung by Willy Nelson as it reminds me of the 3 children we lost through miscarriage and the difficult birth of my first daughter.
Apart from those moments its pretty much 100% Rammstein for me music wise.
Not one for tears but when my distant mother died very suddenly last year this song kept playing on the radio and the lyrics seem to be speaking to me from the grave - the only song that brings me to tears every time.

Waiting for that day by George Michael and the drugs don't work by The Verve are 2 that leave me feeling melancholy. I miss my brother who was killed in a RTA in 2014. Gone but never forgotten.
Nothing invokes a memory that brings me to tears but I kind of like An Irish Lullaby by Bing Crosby.
