I have a few pocket watches that are older but this is my oldest wrist watch,
1915 sterling silver Borgel retailed by Hamilton & Inches in Edinburgh
Can't compete with those. But here is my oldest piece from 1978. Rolex Air-King-Date.
Me neither, I can't compete with those. Here's my oldest, an Omega from 1970 (so that's still a respectable 46 years young watch).
1916 Omega
1921 Urania
American Watch Co from 1890/1891...

A brace of ATPs from the 40s
A prile of WWWs from the 40s
A LIP T18 from the 40s
The dial is enamel and the case silver so it's quite durable - so there should be plenty of them floating around still. Last time I looked I found one being sold for under £100. The movement is a very nice little A Schild that was very common in its day. Because of the lack of branding and the silver case, I think they're most likely to crop up being sold by antiques dealers. Think my mum found mine in an antiques shop in Hull.
PS it's got the loudest tick I've ever heard from a wristwatch. Have to have music on while wearing it, to stop it driving me crazy!
Helvetia from late 1930's (on the left)
Nice idea for a thread!
1940's Cyma R420 'bumper'. One of my keepers as it's so elegant on the wrist.
Here is my one.

1950's I am led to believe although I do stand to be corrected.

I now own this 1972 'Concorde timer'. Ahead of its 'time' there. It is my oldest. The watch reveals its past via the segmented mark, in the crystal, around the right, to the 12 marker. Thank you.

Sorry haven't got mine here at the moment but it's this one and it is stunningly beautiful and going nowhere, I often wear it and was actually wearing my PRS29A today on one of Eddie RE Natos.
Fantastic.
Great idea for a thread.

Mine is also from my birth year - 1959 Tudor Advisor.

There really are some great watches on here. That Smiths is in great condition and I love the Tudor.
Here is mine, I found it in a draw when clearing out my Dad's stuff a few years ago. He did like a nice watch but never got more expensive than a Seiko auto so I have no idea how he came by this. It has a Rolex mechanism but that is as much as I know.
I bought this off sales corner a while back, it's from 1872 according to the hallmark.
The best bit is it's from my home town of Crewe. I did a little research in Crewe library and found an old advertisement for Baron Hill, the watchmaker who made it, even found the location of his shop.
Having replaced the missing minute hand I was going to give this to my horology obsessed Uncle who was Crewe born and bred, however he unfortunately passed away earlier this year with cancer. I'll keep it as a reminder of him.
Cheers,
Gary
Not sure how old this is as it belonged to my Father, my guess is late 50's to mid/late 60's!
