I like Hendricks with Fever Tree, bought a bottle of Sipsmiths a couple of months ago out of curiosity, tried it and....... Ugh! It is now saved for visitors who are not high in my ranking but still warrant a G&T.
How about 'spitfire heritage' gin....it's not cheap, but interestingly distilled in Cambridge. You'll find it on spitfireheritagegin.com (unsurprisingly), although it may be a bit difficult to track down.
Even if you don't like it, the bottle looks fab!

Juniper added to national seed bank:
The future of gin is safe, according to UK horticultural experts who have been working to conserve juniper, the spirit's key ingredient.
The UK National Tree Seed Project announced said it had now collected and protected seeds of juniper plants from across the country.
They will be stored in the Millennium Seed Bank in Wakehurst, Sussex.
While gin sales have enjoyed a recent boom, juniper has been threatened by disease.
This!!!!!!!^^^^^^ with a slice of grapefruit.

Blackwoods
Edinburgh Gin, Rhubarb and Ginger
The Botanist
Hendricks
Brecon Gin, can buy it from Amazon or Whisky Exchange.
Can drink this without tonic as well.
Bit of thread resurection, but I was drinking g&t the other night in a bar and the barman recommended trying a Brockmans. I have to say it was bloody good and is now a joint favourite along with Hendricks.
As an aside,i also tried one from the Isle of Wight called Wight Mermaids Gin. Very nice as well...nice clean, slightly citrus aftertaste and the only drink I have ever seen where they recommend serving it with a bit of samphire!
Silent pool very nice but only seen around Surrey Guildford area.
Perhaps you could go to one of the many gin festivals?
Our nearest in Portsmouth is one of the biggest (held in August)
https://www.ginfestival.com/events/g...ortsmouth-2017
Sip smith gin, slice of lime and elderflower fever tree tonic.
You won't be disappointed.
We are on Bloom. Not bad.

Resurrection time again!
Not so much for a gin but for the tonic. I've mainly been drinking Silverback Gin lately which is distilled in Four Marks,Hampshire.....lovely with a bit of orange peel and a tonic I had never come across before until recently. This tonic is Peter Spantons No.9 cardamom tonic and it goes perfectly with the gin. So much so that I prefer to use it to Fever Tree when drinking Silverback. It's definitely worth a try!
Interesting. I’ve never come across this tonic before.

After finishing a bottle of Gin Mare I bought a bottle of Tanqueray on offer in Asda. Don’t usually shop there but was surprised at the number of gins they had-a lot more than Waitrose.

I'm not a gin drinker, but it seems we're spoiled for the stuff up here. There's a distillery making Durham Gin, and these two premises. The owner of the Sardine bar is also opening a larger place shortly.

Well I am astounded. Here I am, stuck in backward Spain where the average price of a decent gin (say Tanqueray) is about €20 for a litre in the local supermarket.
Yesterday I popped into the local Bodega (wine shop) out in the sticks and I bought 5 litres of local red wine for €7 and 2 litres of gin for €8. Both of these are excellent and I am now crying thinking of the prices I am going to pay when I return to the UK.
Recent birthday present from the wife which I still haven't opened. Anyone tried this before?

I like Sipsmith. Their sloe gin is ace, too

Partial to Cotswold gin, it's made just up the road from here.
I picked one up at a chili festival called Chilgrove Bluewater which is probably my favorite but it's quite pricey for gin. Very smooth for something that's 46%
6 O'Clock gin is a particular fave in our house....nice blue bottle too. That with some Fever Tree tonic and a slice of lemon is just heaven.
We tried Caorunn too and that was quite good.
I'd add another vote for Monkey 47.
Elephant gin is another German one to give a try - its very resinous and delicious.
Caorunn is the standard gin at home at the moment.
Sipsmith is becoming less fashionable because it's just been bought by Suntory, but it's still made the same. A bit heavier on the juniper than many though.
Fevertree's small cans in the fridge pack are genius as the bottles go flat so quickly. I was a massive cynic of fever tree as I was a snob about the way it's just a marketing company who contract manufacture, but it's annoyingly good.
On glassware, we're disgustingly hipster and all of our glasses are Weck...

Love my gin. Current favs are :
Silentpool
Ungava (Canadian gin)
Strathearn Heather Rose
Botanist
Ophir (for something a bit cheaper when on offer in tesco)
Monkey 47 is ok but I feel the above are better value
Burleighs (very local to me)
Warner Edwards Victoria's rhubarb flavoured gin (very surprised by this and excellent with ginger ale)
I've been disappointed with :
Rock Rose
Caorunn
Just about anything by Wlliam Chase and gordons
Need to try :
Sipsmith
Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin
I agree about fevertree tonic in cans, possibly the best thing since sliced bread
I was at gin tasting the other week and the message seemed to be don't get hung up on tonic.
Makar with tonic and a slice of orange squeezed in.
Daffy's with lemonade, fresh mint and a slice of lime (I preferred it with tonic)
Arbikie with ginger ale and slice of lime
Not a gin drinker....but my Mrs is and makes a point of trying some from the vast array that are now commonly on offer at restaurants and bars

I discovered this while on a break up in the highlands. Came home with 4 bottles. My god it is beautiful.
Can't recommend it enough.
I enjoy a good G&T but I had to swallow my pride and admit that the Oliver Cromwell from Aldi, at around £10 a bottle, is not bad at all. It was served up at a friend's the other night and was being taste tested against Tanquery 10 and Caorunn.
with a twist of lemon.
If you fancy something fruity, Two Birds Strawberry and Vanilla is fantastic
One of my favorites Tanqueray 10 is at around £22 at Costco at the moment. at 47% its a bit of a creeper.
Have look into this quite extensively :)
Without going crazy, Martin Millers every time for me.
Discovered Silent Pool - very tasty.
Second Silent Pool if wanting to treat yourself. I was Introduced to it a couple of months back when one of my brothers picked up some duty free on the way home for my Sisters 30th.
She's big on gin. He accompanied it with a sort of suitcase full of assorted botanicals that allowed us to jazz up and alter every glass full.
Can’t go wrong with Monkey 47 or Bathtub Gin.
Cotswold Gin is pretty good as well

A lot of the gins I enjoy have been mentioned; however, the one that hasn’t is Conker:-

Made in small batches in Dorset, it is definitely one to try.
We now use Copa De Balon style i.e. similar to this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dartington-.../dp/B01JMA7TF2
Bathtime Gin - excellent!!
Can’t stand the stuff myself, but the Mrs’ present favourite is Silent Pool.
Got her a bottle for £28.99 from Amazon

I wish I had a "go to" gin to recommend but honestly with all the choice out there at the moment you'd be nuts to stick to one brand. Get thee to "drinkshop.com" and indulge. I've just bought my wife a bottle of another unusual gin... i forget the name but its blue and turns pink if you add tonic water (something about altering the PH level). Also picked up a 1 litre glass that looks like a fishbowl and an ice crusher, as naff as that sounds she'll be made up. :) :) :)
We usually have half a dozen different ones in the house and the only bottle we've finished and replaced with the same this year is the Bombay Sapphire. Mind you we have a bottle of "pink 47" (also from drinkshop) which is close to empty and that's been a very nice drop. Bit girly, mind...
Like Daffy's , as mentioned by RJS. Lovely!
