If you could post some pictures of the watch and the strap that would be an excellent start in terms of knowing what model it is and you can go from there.
Looking for help guys,
My wife has her fathers old speedmaster - i dont know the model but the body pushes out of the bracelet if that is of any help.
It currently doesn't run, the "o" ring that holds it into the strap has turned to goop and it wont wind.
I was curious about getting it repaired, would it be worth it? Its got a lot of sentimental value and i know she would love to see it working again.
i guess cost to fix would be impossible for anyone to guess without looking?
TIA
Japester

I've not opened the case. I have neither the tools nor the confidence. A 100 quid watch maybe but not this! Lol

If it pushes out of the tonneau-shaped case, then it is either a Mark IV or a 4.5, otherwise known as the 176.0012.
Great watches
This (4.5) one was mine
Well worth re-doing, but not the most valuable speedmaster, it has to be admitted.

Or if its got a squarer case it could be a 125 - also has the modular case...

I'll get a picture of it up soon. I've only seen it briefly. Think it's like the one above

Absolutely beautiful. I've always thought that this was the nicest looking of them all, together with the 125 and Flightmaster. Very collectible now.
