Whats it worth Modded Monster Bead Blasted

Hi ive got a Modded Monster in Black that is Bead Blasted and is in good condition overall

No scratches that i can see on the face just a few very small faint scratches around the watch nothing major and the 45 and 10 o'clock has some paint missing on bezel also the strap has a few marks

Its on a rubber but i also have steel bracelet for it too

    Any ideas whats it worth??

    Thanks

While mods cost money, for me they don't add value to a watch if you're looking to sell it on. I don't think someone who wants a monster will necessarily want one with a 5 dial and a finish the watch never came in.

Of course, if that was true the likes of Dagaz and Yobokies wouldn't be trading so what do I know?

    50 quid.

I've never really understood mods either. I'd much rather have an honest (if a little knackered) original watch than a pristine mod.

    £50

If I go to buy a modded watch I always ask the seller for the original parts, if they don't have them I don't buy. Including them in a listing allows any potential buyer to value the watch as stock, especially if the buyer is doing the work himself, it should increase your sale value.

If it had a Dagaz or Yobokies dial the watch would be worth more but a 5 dial in a monster carries no value and will be a turn off to most.

I'm also a little baffled why someone added a 5 dial as part of a mod? This will decrease not increase the actual value of the piece.

Prices are on the up for gen 1 monsters, try source an original dial and chapter ring/hands. If not spend 20 on a new dial from Dagaz and give it some new life.

Some modded Monsters can be fantastic. I don't wish to be rude but that's not one of them - God only knows why someone chose to drop in a 5 dial.

I'm not saying I have a problem with modded Monsters per se, I don't. I owned a Yao Yellow Monster for years and it sold on SC for more than a standard one.

I know folks are suggesting it's worth around £50, but I actually think you may have trouble selling it at all. Sorry, I'm sure this is not what you were hoping for...

Why don't you pick up an original dial, put in on a new strap and stick it on ebay starting the bids at £50?

You'll probably have the best luck on eBay where it may well be more popular with the continentals. I'll say 65 Euros.

You've got to assume someone had a '5' that they reckoned would be improved by a Monster dial and hands so did a straight swap.
I wonder what the other one ended up like.

If it was in the US that would comfortably go for $73.

So how much did you pay?

Surely that is the best answer to your question.
