    Dublin pubs

I'm in Dublin for a couple of days and wondering if anyone has recommendations of pubs beyond the temple bar area?
I'm staying in point village and fancy a good pub to watch the ROI Sweden game.

I've been working in Dublin recently and staying in Leopardstown. So when we've caught the tram in we've not ventured too far away from the tram route.

Anyway, I really like Kehoe's on South Anne Street and also J Sheehan's on Chatham Street. Kehoe's gets busy, but it's nice stood outside. Sheehan's not so busy when we've been.

There's a couple more nearby we've been to, one with a nice seating area outside but the name escapes me!

*EDIT - sorry missed your bit about where you're staying. It's probably a bit of a trek then

Used to have an office in Dublin, not been for a few years but my two favourites were Mulligans on Poolbeg Street and O'Donohues which was just round the corner from the Merrion Hotel.

Kehoe's was also another fave but that has already been mentioned.

the ones mentioned are all good shouts,

typical irish pubs, however not the best venues for watching sport

if you want to watch the match with a great atmosphere goto sinnotts below the st stephens green shopping centre, searsons on baggott street is good for sport and has good food, or doheny and nesbitts which is opposite o'donohues mentioned below,

id goto kehoes or o donohues after the game personally

Cleary's in Amiens Street (No 36, under the bridge) - without question.

    Otherwise this might be helpful:

I've had some good nights in there.
It's been too long since I have had a night out in town.

Bowes on Fleet St. would be alright for sport, then across the road to The Palace for a proper pint.
