    Original analogue Apple watch

    Hi all

Doing a bit of a tidy up and I found this old Apple Watch, yes not one of the new snazzy smart watches, but an analogue version which I think might have been a promotional item back when I got an original iMac many moons ago.

I've had a search on the internet but can't find anything about this watch. Does anyone have any history or know anything about it that they could share with me?

It might worth considering contacting Apple directly! They tend to be quite accommodating and you might be pleasantly surprised!
Btw I would probably hold on to it... It will become a grail for all the apple fun boys out there soon enough!

That's cool! Never seen one of those; do you know what year it's from?

I did find this, which is obviously something different:

Hi! If you want to sell it, I will buy it.
    Thanks

As others have said - hold on to it, as Apple fan boys would probably crawl over broken glass just to have a look at it.

Does the big button adjust the time?

    Looks pretty cool.

Looks like something that might be worth a fortune one day.

From the case style alone it looks like something from the Apple II era.

I could be wrong but I don't think the first one is an official Apple watch. Very rarely do Apple put the apple logo with the trademark symbol, it is generally by itself.

The second, blue one certainly is a watch released by Apple and was used to mark the release of System 7 back in the 90s

Thanks all, good point about the Apple logo. I can't remember where I got the watch from to decide if it was a dodgy source!

Given Apple's rapid growth in popularity over the past 10-15 years I wish I'd kept it in a box, it's got a couple of little marks in the surround, which is a kind of brushed aluminium.

Yes, about the only 'feature' in these early Apple watches!

Very interesting. My guess is "promo gift" for retailers

I just wish I could recall where I got it from. I enter bought it as I thought it was cool, or it could have come as a freebie with my first Apple Mac, a 333Mhz original iMac.
