The best priced I've seen are on eBay, shipping from the USA, but with the VAT and so on they're still not quite cheap enough for me.
Decided to pick up one of these monsters. Any tips on the current cheapest place to source one?
Many thanks

I fancy one of these too, post back here if you mange to track one down for south of £350. I found these two but wasn't feeling up to risking it.

Not sure what they go for outside Japan but for reference:
Non Multi-band, Twin Sensor: i.e. GG-1000-1A3JF:
¥27,950 inc. 8% tax (~£180)
Multiband, Triple Sensor i.e. GWG-1000-1A3JF
¥60,400 inc. 8% tax (~£390)
Only one letter difference in the model name. Make sure you buy the one you want.

How big is the mudmaster compared to the rangeman? Isn't the range higher on the wrist?

Thanks. The smaller one looks nice but was hoping it was the full fat one.
Don't see many 2nd hand so I guess folk like them
Is there a way to ship from the US without having to pay vat? .. like.. no description... normal shipping?
Fair shout. I hadn't noticed there were two types; my eBay search is just for 'Mudmaster'.
I was keen on these when they first came out, but they're so expensive, and it's an analogue Rangeman at the end of the day. When you see how far and how fast Rangeman prices have fallen, buying a new Mudmaster looks like a losing proposition.
I like the look and feel of the Mudmaster, I have recently tried on two, the green strap version and one with gold details but at 650GBP and 700GBP, that was too much for me. I was offered a 10 % discount at a highstreet shop and Casio were doing 20% online with a code last weekend. Still a lot of money, I think if I had not already got a fair few G -Shocks, I would be more tempted.
I bought a new GW - R1000FC for under 200gbp when its RRP was 500gbp, so it pays to wait and shop around.
There will be some deals somewhere down the line, I did look at getting one from Japan a few months back.
My 15 year old son the negative display JDM Rangeman and he is wearing it on Dartmoor this weekend doing his second Ten Tors, very good watch and it does feel very much like the mudmaster on the wrist.
I love my Frogman, it is built like a tank.

Also not sure what's the real difference in dirt resistance between the mudmaster and the rangemam. I doubt if rangemam is going to stop working when experiencing difficult conditions. So other than being a digital what's the difference?
