I have just finished watching seasons 1 - 3 to refresh myself before I start season 4. Although I am waiting until I have a lazy weekend planned to allow me to blitz through the whole season.

I saw this article the other day that might impact on future seasons.

I thought season 4 was one of the best. Superb show!
Just finished season 4, by far the best so far. Quality viewing.
100% watch it. The quality was as good, if not better, than previous seasons. With some of the character changes at end of S3 I think many people went into this season expecting it to be materially worse and didn't have an open mind.

I absolutely loved it, it was different, had some superb character arcs, keeps you guessing, and isn't afraid to sacrifice beloved characters for the sake of the plot.
Another thumbs up for S4 here
Thanks all! Will start with S4 tonight

Any Gomorrah fans no when immortal movie is getting released in UK?
Have had a look and can’t find anything.
Its supposed to tie in to series 5 from what I’ve read.

The final paragraph of this article says that international sales of the film will commence during the Berlin Film Festival, as the festival is currently on I doubt it'll be anytime soon.

No immediate release . I've been waiting and waiting. I guess it's downloadable via some other means somewhere . It does tie in to S5 straight after Ciro's apparent demise and goes into his history prior to the Savastanos.

You can't get better twists and turns than Gomorrah. I'm still shocked Genny took out Patrizia!

We hired a driver for a couple of days when staying in Sorrento a few months ago and he said everyone in Naples watched the show and that Genny had become a real celebrity in the city (and Italy too) and was a very nice fella apparently.

Also which you may all know (maybe on this thread, can’t remember) Ciro is supposed to be coming back.

    Informative article - thanks.

Interesting that they’re leaving one remaining ‘sail’ block standing, albeit renovated. Wonder if that’s for logistical or historical reasons, possibly both.

For those that don't know (which included me until yesterday) there's a movie that was released last year that is both a prequel and a sequel to the Gomorrah series. It's called L'Immortale, and it was on Sky Atlantic yesterday. There's a link to IMDB here.

I can only say that it's a must watch... absolutely brilliant up until the moment of the final credits. Hopefully, a precursor to season 5?

Didn't even realise the move had come out until flicking through TV guide last night.

    Looking forward to watching it.

Didn't like the direction it went with season 3 (for obvious reasons, for those who have seen it) but felt season 4 was a return to form.

Indeed - you were previously referring to the original Gomorrah movie that was released in 2008.

That's the one, saw that in the Cinema. Thought it was brilliant , really gritty and a stark contrast to all the other "mafia" movies I had seen till then which were all American.

There's also a documentary on Sky Documentarylies at the moment on Roberto Saviano the author of the original book which all this is based on, which is worth a watch

Have any of you Gomorrah fans watched Suburra (on Netflix)?
It’s a spin-off series following on from a film of the same name (film had same directors as Gomorrah).

I’m currently working my way through Gomorrah & wondered if it may fill the void when I get to the end of season 5.

Well worth a watch as is the original film as with Gomorrah treat the original films and the tv series separately, currently on episode 7 series 5 and just a great watch

Started watching the first series a few days ago. I now know what Pep was doing when he had his sabbatical.
