Like Oris, Glycine modifies the ETA 2892 to position the date wheel further out when it's fitted to the larger Airman 17, so the movement size isn't as obvious. It's still a small movement for the size of the case, but it's nice attention to detail. I can think of a few other brands which ought to consider doing that!

Airman 18 proud owner here. Planning to add a purist also to the collection at some point.

My one and only. I do like the combat sub.

    I`d have an Airman SST-06.
    It`s the only Glycine that appeals to me;

I've had a few in my time, and all have gone to other homes, which in hindsight is something I shouldn't have done, but you learn from these things, but I still have a few photos to remind me of the good times

My Airman 8. I am really interested in the new Airman 1 which looks to be a fantastic tribute to the original. Nice to see some wrist shots of it. I may well pull the trigger...

I do have skinny 6 1/4" wrists, but compared to other 42mm watches that I do not own, the glycine doesn't wear big at all in real life. It's a keeper.

I only have one,due to intense lack of money.

It is one I have had for about ten years, and it's pure industrial looks appeal to me greatly. Lives on a supple 'tobacco' panatime, and sits beautifully.

This is a 42mm Airman but is actually measured at 41.something mm. It does feel entirely its size as the dial is wide and flat but the long-ish lugs curve down so it doesn't look over-large on an average sized wrist.

The dégradé blue dial (not "degraded", which would imply that it's rotting away!) is not always easy to capture in basic photographs, and influenced by camera settings (compare backgrounds).

    Just the one Mrs Wembley......

But I love it to bits. 1960's Airman Special with A.Schild 1701 movement.
    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

A brave choice, but can't deny it is a nice one though.

Thinking about a Combat Sub with the green bezel. Does anyone have a picture of one on the wrist?

I see there's a slightly different one on SC at the moment, which looks good but I'm not sure I can pull off two-tone.

Acquired my first Glycine recently at not-to-be-missed price - Airman Double-Twelve with a highly atypical fade-red dial. Definitely not the purists' choice, but incredible build quality for £peanuts.

    Combat Sub GMT anyone?

Colourways also available in the standard Combat Sub - all available on Drop.
