Watched it last night over here in the US. Quote of the day was the missus' saying "here they are - wouldn't be Game of Thrones without a pair of knockers..." I won't tell you whose though...

  3. #3
Sky are actually showing it at about 2am Monday, which must be approx when it's on in the US, so recorded it and watched it first thing.

I must confess that I couldn't quite remember what had happened at the end of the last series, so it's probably a good idea to catch up before watching it IMO.

Good start to the series though.

(Not really a spoiler, but I suspect we'll see Jon Snow again quite soon).

Just watched it on Kodi - it was rather good especially the last few minutes, but to be honest I do not have the foggiest what is going on with. Hopefully the next episode will put some "meat on the bone" - especially the fate to Jon Snow.

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

    Thanks :)

I don't have Sky. So suppose I have to wait until all 10 have aired and then buy the 'box set'?

If you got Sky, I can't see how you could missed the ads, it must of been advertise on every ad break on Sky 1, Sky Living and Sky Atlantic channel.
I think it has also been adverted in every free and paid for newspaper.

Recorded it Monday morning 2am and watched it when I got home from work well before it was aired at 9pm.
I like the clip where it ended with Nymeria Sand stating to her sister Obara Sand "Your a greedy bitch, you know that."

A "What have the Romans ever done for us?" moment.

Great to see it back on TV. It will be Interesting to see where the script writers take the various plot lines.

I have sky and i didn't catch an ad till Sunday night, joys of sky+ means i hardly ever sit through ad breaks. I never read newspapers either. I knew it was on soon, just hadn't realised it was this week.
Recorded and series linked, but didn't get a chance to watch it last night, hopefully tonight

It's a good start and I'm enjoying it so far. It's now mostly overtaken the books so will keep me guessing. There a lot of theories about Jon Snow, it will be good to see what actually happens.

  23. #23
It was a good start to the series, i think Jon Snow is dead for this series at least. The only theory to bring him back to life was the fire witch (can't remember her name) but she seemed to give up her powers at the end of the episode (nice body btw, well the pre giving up powers body that is)

I just wish they made it longer than 10 episodes, apparently they are doing 2 more series after this then thats the end of it.

  24. #24
I think Melisandre just took her fake body off for the night. Yes, plenty of people in the books have been resurrected, though fewer in the show, so death certainly isn't always fatal in Westeros. We'll see.

NowTV ... Just pay for a month at a time, no contract.

You'll have to watch via the app on a device though.

I think Jon is now in his Direwolf, he has some of the same power as Bran. The blood stain even gave a little hint of it as it looked like a wolf's head!

Of course the bloodstain could have equally been in the shape of a Dragon's head and give a hint of his rumoured Targaryen background.

Recorded today's episode at 2am this morning and watched it earlier.

Oh yes! Is all I can say right now.

Should we have a rule that after a certain period from an episode airing we can freely talk about it in this thread? Say 48 hours from the evening showing?

I think 10pm tonight is fine myself - at least Thronecast is on tonight after the episode.

    Great start to the series!
Be interested to see where a couple of the storylines go - so much to cram in to 10 episodes!

Oh yes, so good that I watched series 1-4 in about 3 weeks and then went back to start and did it again!

Series 5 was a disappointment but so far series 6 is back on form.

With a bit of luck my box set should arrive today and I'm off work all week, so should get through a few hours!

I reckon that the subject of this thread shoudl change to include "CONTAINS SPOILERS" so we can freely discuss the episodes as soon as they are broadcast. We record the 2am Monday one and watch it around 8pm Monday.....

I watched episode 2 yesterday. No spoilers, but "the Bastard" certainly lived up to his reputation. I bet a script writers are having a field day working out what we will do next and how best to "end him". Loving it.

Episodes 1 and 2 of this series have been phenomenal. The rate at which they're killing off 'big' characters is incredible. If they all die that is...
