    Anyone polished a PRS-18?

Just wondering what it might look like as thinking about having it done.

I'm sure sure there was one. I liked it...

That looks very stylish indeed. Did you do the work yourself or have someone else do it?

Thanks, very useful, I find the polished version with the chrome sword hands to be pure watch porn.

    Cheers.

I did it myself with sandpaper and capecod. The result is good enough for me.

I had one and had it brushed, rather than polished. I didn't like the matt grey Plasti-kote look to the beadblasting of the original. No pics left, but mr1973, once of this parish, did it to his.

...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

Mmm - I bet a DN Voyager would look good brushed...

I know there was that polished DN, but brushing is more in keeping with the watch, I think...

The giveaway prices they sell for on SC, I might just buy one to brush!

I think Eddie should released a version in brushed/ polished surfaces.
    Would be a blockbuster.

    love that watch brushed

Fantastic pic with the fine brushed finish. The prs-18q is on my must buy list. I have been thinking about that watch for a year or 2 (bead blast finish has put me off). Never really lusted after it till I saw a picture of it with a finely brushed surface. That one Andrew posted looks perfect. Where does one get that done? His looks professionally done. I assume taken apart to be brushed. I've sort of imagined I'd like one with the sides of case/lugs and head of crown polished and everything else brushed.

Sure there's several people on here who could do it for you. The bead blasted look is a bit of a grower, though. It's pretty distinctive. In general, the PRS-18 looks quite futuristic, and I like that. A bead blasted lumpy bracelet really suits it, too.

When I get one (most likely when they are in stock again on timefactors unless I happen upon a nice used one first) I will live with it for a while to see if the 'stock' finish grows on me. Every once in a while (rare) I see a pic online that does not look too bad and think it may look better yet in person. Maybe not, but I'm willing to give it a chance for a while before getting it brushed. I have a hand stitched leather Panerai type strap in mind.

100% agree, possibly why the prs 82 is popular...
