Its been a long time coming..... and its yellow.

My Day Date, coveted from afar for many years and in honesty never thought I'd get to owning one but my recent dalliance with AP made the step up just achievable so thanks to Craig (waiteu2) here she is:

An F serial 118238 with solid bracelet and just back from Rolex and a £1400+ service, new dial, crystal, hands and crown.

In absolutely stunning condition with no wear at all to the bracelet.

A couple of quick iPhone pics below.

Now I've just got to get the bugger to fit which isn't half as easy as it may sound.........

Well, I wouldn't wear one (just too much gold for me, but maybe on a strap), but it's still beautiful!

Interestingly there's another thread running about how many times you get complimented on your watch. I've wore the DD today at work for the first time and had 5 questions, comments, compliments about it.

It's certainly not stealth but I knew and considered that before I bought it. 🤔

Lovely Gary. I half hope you don't get it to fit you then i'll have the bugger back. The DD has fast become my favourite watch.A S/S sports watch doesn't seem to cut it for me these days.

I really like that, have been noticing them more and more.

Huge congratulations to you its a beauty.

Without doubt this is my favourite DD combination.

IMO, the colours/style of the dials available on the 118238 are far superior, to the ones that they have in their current 40mm range.

Recently, i have been trying to NOT persuade myself into either getting DD or a Calatrava.

One good thing which is helping is the immediate lack of funds, though that has never stopped me in the past!

    Where there's a will there's a way ;).
