Ha ha. Absolutely great. I love the panoramic date on GOs and this video shows it perfectly. Even slowed down by 40 times the date change STILL snaps. Brilliant. I particularly like the slight bounce on the equilibration of the two date wheels. Thanks for posting this Jocke. Great stuff!
Have a similar mechanism on a Lange 1, but mine takes minutes to fully snap... Sigh
I don't know whether to be impressed or annoyed with GO. They have pretty much perfected the big date but only they can use it with all the presumed patents (FP Journe? have same mechanism?).
Still seriously impressive engineering. Thanks Jocke, must have taken quite some time to film that.
