The Wire is about as good as television gets too.

I saw a post by McNulty in another thread and it reminded me. I want to watch again but now I'm married, I don't want to have to go back on scenes and explain who that one is and why he hates that other guy etc!

Just come across Californication with David Duchovny.

Very lighted hearted show where he spends his life drinking, smoking and bedding

8 episodes in to 'mr robot' based on recommendations here. Really good, though it just got odd

    amazing froggie crime drama
My favourite (first two series, especially).

I loved the way they left every episode on a "there's no way they can get out of this" cliffhanger.

Most American (and UK now) series, seem to have to tie things up before the credits... I never really understand this, unless their audience focus groups are too sensitive to be able to wait until they see the next episode (mere moments now so many watch on demand) before finding out if the fictional characters are in real peril...

Finished on Sunday, available on iPlayer, The Night Manager was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Still hugely watchable despite some massive credibility stretches in the plot. Hiddleston, Laurie and Coleman were great and the locations stunning. Then again it did cost £3m per episode...

Just finished watching season one of "Bones". Not too heavy and quite entertaining, it reminds me a bit of "The Mentalist".

That's naughty as the last episode was only a few days back. Clearly, they are thinking about DVD/download sales now.

Just (belatedly) discovered Black Sails. Love it!

Line of Duty on BBC1 is amazing. There's already been two seasons. The third is just being shown now. A drama following a Police force's Anti-Corruption unit. you would probably need to watch season's 1 and 2 to get the full gist of the character's backgrounds.

Series 3 is looking very promising
