Yeah I loved it too. Started watching it back in the 60's still enjoy Star Trek. Love all the characters.

I appreciate that it's not new but I have just started watching Your Honor starring Bryan Cranston.

I really struggled to get into Breaking bad (& so gave up), but I am really enjoying this and so have binged the 1st series over 3 nights

The writing is excellent and keeps the viewer guessing about which way the story will go. Also Michael Stuhlbarg is very good in this, as he was in Dopesick

We started to watch “Citadel” last night and it’s got a lot of (Bond like) potential for sure.

Saw an article last week headlined which summed Citadel up quite well with:

If Citadel is Richard Maddens audition for bond he’s not getting the job.

Decent enough to pass the time but don’t think I could recommend it in good faith. Same with Beef and The Diplomat.

Possibly unfair as I’m knew deep in The Sopranos right now.

I enjoyed "The Night Agent", reasonable plot and fast paced enough to keep up the interest.

Started watching "The Diplomat", but undecided at the moment.

Show's of the calibre of The Sopranos, I'd also add the Wire, really do reset the bar.

I am quite here, tried both a couple of times and just find the pace sooooo slooooow! I feel I can watch 2 episodes and nothing happens!

On the basis of this thread we are 5 episodes into Sopranos again, and I find I’m on my iPad shortly after it starts. I want to watch it through, as a rubbish series cannot get that many series filmed, but it just won’t happen.

Huh kinda surprised to hear, well it's good we like different things, though for my money I still haven't found much if anything in the same league. I think if you can stick with it, the Sopranos...Tony and his families, will grow on you.

It's passable tosh, neither as entertaining or accurate as Ambassadors which at times borders on docudrama.

2 episodes in and I’d call it a solid 7/10 so far and happy to watch more episodes when they are released later this week.

I enjoyed the Last of Us series

We watched the first two episodes of Citadel... it looks great, but I think Hugo Rifkind's review in the Time summed it up:

"As in, for all the stunning visuals, startling choreography and traditional wisecracking, what I was suffering from was a profound lack of giving a toss. And I’ve now watched quite a lot more and I still am."

    It's very silly fun though!

Season 2 of The Wire was terrible but the show overall was gripping.

The Diplomat is ok to have on while you’re scrolling on the phone.

Currently on episode three of Citadel. Again, ok while scrolling, but probably amazing if you’re 14.

As my wife and I seemed to be the only 2 people on earth, not to have watched The Sopranos, we've started to put that right; about 6 episodes into series 1 and I must admit to being totally underwhelmed so far.

Hopefully things will pick up - we're going to persevere, purely based on its reputation, as that many people surely can't be wrong!

Was that the season with the Polacks?

Hang in there. You won't regret it.

The Sopranos is one of my all-time favorite series, dating back to Winds of War (Robert Mitchum) and Rich Man, Poor Man in the 1970s.

I have just finished watching Magpie Murders. The old-fashioned way, weekly as the episodes appeared on free-to-view BBC1.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Refreshingly different storyline, good period production values, and some lovely settings.

If anyone hasn't yet visited The Bell Inn in Kersey, Suffolk, just go. You can thank me later. One of the prettiest villages that I have ever stayed in.

I'm 2 episodes into the Night Agent - does it get better?

I've found the acting wooden and the dialogue is awful at points. The plot seems pretty generic so far. Not quite sure why it's being so positively reviewed?

On plus side continuing to enjoy new episodes of Mandalorian and Succession. Plus coming late to Sherwood, which is excellent.

That sounds like my cup of meat.

Written by Anthony Horowitz so should be good.

    I'll give it a go.

Gandolfini as Tony was outstanding in the role, for me he's totally compelling, but he wasn't alone, so many great performances. Glad to hear you are enjoying it.

Agreed - and the plot is pretty thin in places too. Just some fast paced fun but not particularly well made.

Different genre - quite enjoyed 'Colin from Accounts'. Watched with the wife.

    It's a thriller not Shakespeare.

I think it does improve, first episode especially didn't grab me.

Honestly, though, if you think the Mandalorian has better acting, I don't think you're going to enjoy it.

    NARCOS

Going back a bit, but just binged through S1-S3 on Netflix.

Quality stuff! S1 & S2 are very factual and slightly slow; S3 has more artistic licence hence is the most exciting.

Next up is NARCOS: MEXICO again on Netflix

Citadel - err like 'Spy Kids' with a dash of 'Hart to Hart'

Sopranos - we have just watched start to finish over 2 weeks - why did it take us 20 years to watch just amazing cast and acting

Now then for those who haven't dipped their toe in the water try 'Yellowjackets' We were hesitant but so glad we got into it brilliant twists and storyline.

Really good especially as I hadn’t seen the previous series. Bit disappointed they didn’t give out the end times and remaining budgets.
