Pistol - on Disney. Danny Boyles much maligned series. Lydon was not happy about it. But having lived through the era and having seen the Pistols a few times I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Boyle inter weaves real footage of the age throughout. The actors do a good job of recreating some of the characters that dominated British Punk at this time.

Another one for Happy Valley, absolutely brilliant and very watchable.

We’re half way through the second series after having binged through the first!

Looking forward to what the final series has to offer!

I started this and it’s brilliant but gave up during season 1 as I just stomach the violence. Getting sensitive in my old age

That's disappointing, I'll probably swerve it and stick to weird scandi noire

Tried out Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan last week. I'm starting Season 3 tonight. I guess that's a "yes."

We liked The Recruit (Netflix) Kaleidoscope (Netflix) was not bad, but found the ending slightly unsatisfactory.

    SPOILER ALERT

How did the daughter swap out all those bonds in such a short time?

    Watching Tulsa King
Get past the first couple of episodes which are a wee bit cringeworthy and it's a good show

Yeah I’m half way through season 3, for me not as good as other series but still a decent watch imo

Just finished "Welcome to the Chippendales" on Disney+.

I knew about the Chippendales, as most people, however what I didn't have a clue about was the amazing story of how they were created and rose to fame.

    Well worth a watch.

Following a tip off from a colleague before Christmas I have now taken delivery of the DVD box set of The Sandbaggers. Very much enjoying it so far - every episode is standalone so it lacks the slow burner of the original Tinker, Tailor but worthwhile nevertheless.

Am thinking about Mr Palfrey of Westminster next - anybody have any opinions?
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Slow horses is excellent . It’s on Apple TV and Gary oldman is brilliant in it .

Didn’t even know that was out. Season 1 was good, except the builder’s tea / Assam debacle from KST.

The Sandbaggers is a brilliant series with a great cast.

Mr Palfrey of Westminster is in a similar vein with Alex McCowen as Mr Palfrey. Well worth watching.

Bugger, please leave a bigger space after your spoiler alerts. Only have the white left to go and not much point now.

Rather late to the party on this one and its a guilty pleasure for sure.

    Below Deck.

I'm hooked, I like boats and it's proper trash TV. But I really like it.

I've watched a few episodes. The male captain - liked to avoid responsibility and the female one "Captain Sandy" was OTT (possibly told to be)

I loved Banshee, it did tail off towards the end but a really good show

Yes the ending wasn't the best, but they did go for a different direction rather than the usual happy endings.

The wife and I guessed she took them but agree no way she could have done it that quickly.

Fight the power: how hip-hop changed the world.

Four part documentary on the history of hip-hop and its influence in main stream culture, bbc iPlayer have all four episodes to stream. I’m two in so far and it’s a a engaging, though provoking & at times challenging watch.

I've just seen that there is a 2nd series of Mayor of Kingstown just starting (Paramount +) and also a 3rd series of Godfather of Harlem.

I enjoyed both of these show and so, have high hopes for the new series

The Last of Us. Only one episode in, but what a start. I’ll give nothing away but it has one of the most astonishingly exciting sequences I’ve seen on TV for a long while.

I've heard a lot of good things about this. Might have to watch.

Started series 4 of Fauda last night on Netflix that came out on Friday. Watched 3 episodes on the trot. Very Good but not sure it’s taking the story much further.

The Three-Body Problem (utube Chinese film)

    This is the Chinese version...

    Three-Body (TV series)
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-Body_(TV_series)

    Trailer
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqK2...l=BowserInator

And not the forthcoming Netflix version...

The Three-Body Problem (upcoming TV series)
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Th...ing_TV_series)

They are both based on the same book. I have only read the first book of the trilogy.

You can watch it on YouTube with English Subtitles (the subs don't work on my pad)
    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...qda3tWd6pGVD5Q

There are 20 episodes there. Altogether there will be 30.

Several years ago I started watching Orange Is the New Black on Netflix. Loved it! For some reason I got derailed but now plan to pick it up again. Unusual and very interesting plot.

Another vote for Slow Horses here - really gripping and Gary Oldman is outstanding.

In a completely different genre, Only Murders In The Building is really lovely. Fun murder mystery / comedy.

The Last of Us is only 4 episodes in but it turning out to be the best game adaptation I have seen. Amazing source material and typically well made HBO show.

    Yes. We are enjoying it.

Also finished S2 of Hunters on Amazon Prime the other day. It's a bit daft at times but definitely watchable.

S2 of Your Honour starts on Paramount + tonight I think. S1 was excellent.

S2 of Clarkson's Farm starts next week on Amazon
