ITV Hub - we watched it recently as it only aired in late Feb/early March.

    1. No-one is safe
    2. Except Jack
    3. Jack is THE hardest man ever to live. Chuck Norris wears Jack Bauer pyjamas.....
    4. Kim is kidnapped on average 3 times per series
    5. CTU can track anyone anywhere and use technology to great ends but if the phones go down they’re buggered
    6. Jack Bauer and CTU invented Google Maps, Zoom and Find my Phone
    7. If you kiss Jack, there is a 77% chance you will die
    8. Immunity from prosecution is only a phone call away, regardless of your crimes
    9. Apart from the phones and fashion, it still looks current and stands up to repeat viewing in 2021
    10. Jack Bauer is THE hardest man ever to live!

Nuclear bombs, domestic and foreign terrorism, Albanian gangsters, turncoat senators, corruption, torture, and unexpected deaths of main characters, it’s got it all!

    Bring on Series 3!

Agreed. It was so dark - visually and dramatically.

Forgive me if already me mentioned, but I've been enjoying Invincible (adult cartoon based on comic) on Amazon. Very violent but also knows how to poke fun at itself - and the voice cast is simply amazing! The budget must be ridiculous.

I believe it has been mentioned somewhere in the thread but I can recommend ‘Your Honour’.
I didn’t have any particular expectations and only started watching it because my wife put it on,however it is excellent and well worth watching.

    I second that recommendation.

Always try to watch animation but realise I'm too old for it. Not so with this series, it's just good.

Never heard of Invincible and have just added to my watchlist and will start tonight cheers!

I'm really enjoying a few shows:

    Line of Duty
    Debris
    New Amsterdam

Thank you! Exactly my sort of cartoon. Very graphic and gory in places with a decent plot.

Ripping through ZeroZeroZero. A bit like the excellent Gommorah series.

Has plenty of English speaking in this one though.

Features the Cartel, the Italian Mafia and an American family who ship their drugs on tankers.

    Really good.

On a completely different tack, I've just stumbled across Rob Riggle: Global Investigator on Amazon Prime.

This is pretty much of it's own unique genre - real historic mysteries, being investigated, but genuinely funny!

Just goodhearted, feelgood TV. I'm two espisodes in - Holy Grail and now Pirate Treasure, and really enjoying it.

The opening titles will give you a flavour:

Line of Duty is the best show by quite a mile for me. Zerozerozero was good but maybe an ep or two two long, it could have been tighter, and Your Honor started well but I lost interest after a couple of eps. Flight Attendant I gave a chance but was just too silly rather than quirky and funny.

Not new and possibly already mentioned, but having just been signed up to Netflix as a result of switching to SkyQ I've started watching Ozark (following a strong recommendation from my son).

Currently on S1/E7, and I have to say it's brilliant.

Still in pre-production, but one that I think will be worth watching when it comes out - The Contintental, a spin-off from the John Wick films.

Snowfall is really good - I'm 2 seasons in so far.
Story of the early days of crack cocaine dealers & US government influence - set in LA in the early '80's.
Very good story, acting & soundtrack.
    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6439752/
Watching it on Sky, but is BBC material (not typical BBC show) so may also be on iplayer?

I'm enjoying Subura but found it strangely familiar. Turns out it's a series made from a film, which I saw a few years back. So I know where it's going.

Started watching Falcon and Winter Soldier (?).
Thought I'd last 5 minutes but it's actually pretty good.

    Watching as a family:
New Girl, quite a few laugh out loud moments
    Modern family
This is my house, which was strangely entertaining.

    With the Mrs:
Outlander, and just started John Adams.

The new season just started on BBC 1 last Sunday.

The new season of Fargo also started on Sunday - Channel 4. I doubt it will be as good as the first, but episode 1 was pretty good.

Blinded - Those Who Kill started on BBC4 last Saturday for those that like a Scandi crime drama. Episode 1 was excellent.

    Ozarks' very good indeed.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier is very watchable, the 2 leads do a good job with the buddy gig. NO spoilers, BUT the Wakandan Royal guard are badasses.

Mare of Easttown on Sky Atlantic is also very good. Kate Winslet is really good in it.

We maybe ought to give longer view.

Watched the first 30 mins earlier this week thought it was poor so turned it off.

Don’t watch many series on amazon as it’s very American and can be a bit dumbed down compared to the european stuff (appreciate you sometimes need a ‘no brainer’ to watch) but really enjoyed The Boys, a different take on superheroes and not your usual hero-antihero trope. If you enjoyed The Watchman film I think you will like this. Lots of head exploding gore and the C word so maybe not suitable for all.

Tales from the loop was good too.

Just in case you missed this (as I did), it's Man Vs Bear - for real:

    https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-r...irdest-tv-show

One of the funniest reviews I've read in ages.

Has to be worth a watch!

Just got round to watching Unabomber on Netflix with Paul Bettany.

Really good, binged watched in a couple of nights, only 1 episode was a semi-dud where they did a backstory episode and skipped the FBI investigation entirely.

Will go back through the thread to see what to watch next.

i was rather surprised how good it actually was - not really a fan of Kate Winslet, but it was very believable plus the end was a bit of surprise.

Helen Smart as the mother was particularly enjoyable.

Bosch will return later this month on Amazon Prime. Season 7 (final one).

The music for this show is excellent. I must say that it's often the case with Amazon series.

In the need for some lighthearted TV I decided to watch The Kominsky Method, produced by the same folks who did the Big Bang. It’s stars Alan Aitkin and Micheal Douglas (as an acting coach).

In one scene the Micheal Douglas character receives a prostrate exam from a doctor played by Danny Deveto and I was in tears. Very funny.

    Available on Netflix
