    We have just finished this:

"The Man in the High Castle is an American dystopian alternate history web television series depicting a parallel universe where the Axis powers of Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan rule the world after their victory in World War II"

Excellent. Based on a book by Philip K Dick And produced by Ridley Scott and Frank Spotnitz. Very uncomfortable in places but gripping to the end.
    Alt history at it's best.

The missus and I have been bingeing on the US version of The Office. Not a new TV show at all but it only arrived on Netflix recently. Can't believe I hadn't seen it before. Put us both in laughing fits.

I’ve watched it all the way through twice. Hilarious show and some brilliant characters from main ones like Dwight through to smaller ones like Creed.

Not exactly new, but I have just started watching Lilyhammer. US Ex-Mafia mobster relocates to Norway. Very funny. Plus the lead is a ex-member of E Street Band.

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Thenks for the suggestion, Once I stop watching the jaw dropping coverage of US politics (CNN on far too much!) I will give it a go

Sharp Objects. Perfectly captures the sleepy yet creepy and incredibly dark atmosphere of a small deep south town through the eyes of a deeply disturbed journalist, facing her past demons whilst investigating the deaths of 2 young girls.

Make sure you keep watching to the very last end credits of the final episode!

    Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown

Not a new series, but one which had completely escaped my notice until now.
Available on Netflix (all series) and Amazon Prime Video (series 1-7).

I have only watched a couple so far, but am hooked already. From what I have seen so far I would describe it as 'easy watching, food meets travel meets politics'.

I wouldn't describe van Zandt as a fish out of water as he's basically playing the same character that played for 6 series in the Sopranos but I do agree with you - brilliant series

Just a quick PSA for anyone starting Lillyhammer - it was cancelled after three series, so you do get left in the lurch stortwise, somewhat. It is still absolutely worth watching, however.

    2 for you

Susan Calman's Grand day out C5 9pm Friday
Very good travel show as Susan and her Camper van
'Helen' travel round different areas of the UK
Calman is a great host very natural and funny with it
And of course the scenery is stunnning, she also done a Scottish version which is also worth watching.

Straight after that is Great Train Journeys , narrated by Bill Nighy ,although you don't see him, his lilting tones follow the Trains on journeys around the World last week up to Mt Etna great scenery all the way

    Cheers

Late to the party (season IV is on its way) but the Marvelous Mrs Maisel on Amazon Prime is really, really funny. High ratings on IMDB as well.

Watched 4 episodes and it’s fine but just a bit meh. Some beautiful scenery and locations but the story and sense of threat is very lightweight.

I’ve decided it’s really just Twilight for the over 40’s.

And for the voiceover geeks on the forum..... apparently the detective who gets closest to working out who Lupin is, is the same voice actor that plays the Professor in Money Heist.

Personally I watched the brilliant Money Heist in Spanish which is a much better experience but my 13 year spotted this.

Another thumbs up for The Investigation. Finished it last night.

Tiger - A 2 part documentary about the rise, fall & recovery of Tiger Woods is pretty good even if your not a Golfist, which I'm not.

Anyone else watching Briarpatch on Alibi?

Woman returns to the town of her youth after her sister is murdered.

Has a definite Fargo vibe, enjoying it so far.

I started (re)watching X-Files, from the very beginning, with my 14 year old son - 5 episodes in and he seems to be enjoying it so far.
Mulder and Scully can still cut it.

Just started watching it last night. We had a new tv delivered last night and I was convinced the lip synch to the sound bar was faulty. Then it dawned on me it might just be dubbed when I saw the French text , the rest as they say.........

Not a new series but can recommend The Serpent. We watched it on catch up couple of episodes a night and thought it was really good. Really gives a good impression of somebody truly evil and how they got away with murder, literally, for a long time.

I wish that I’d watched it in Spanish with subtitles, I always find voice overs incredibly off putting.

Another vote for this, slow to start but if it wasn’t based on truth you’d find it hard to believe. A great series to binge on
