After Life season 2 now on Netflix.

Just finished “Innocence Project” on Netflix about wrongful convictions. Well worth a watch

  3. #2803
Just watched season 1 of “before we die” on channel 4. I quite enjoyed it. A solid Scandinavian police drama.

If it’s your thing, or was your thing, I watched a funny Netflix documentary- “ Have a good trip, psychedelics. “ Brilliant, really accurate, celebrity experiences.

Futureman on Amazon Prime for some non-PC fun (Seth Rogen jaunt)

Just finished episode 4 of 'The Last Dance' about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls Basketball team. It's a superb documentary and I'm sure not even ardent sports fans would enjoy it

Any watched the BBC 3 program Normal People? Just finished it, was recommended to me and was very good. Not one to watch with your parents or kids though

I recently started Sky Atlantic’s Gomorrah.

The first third of S1 is a bit shaky, but it really finds it feet thereafter. Almost finished S2 and it’s very enjoyable.

Agree, I have been enjoying this immensely - it was recommended on a previous post by someone
above. I was never into basketball, but this is compelling viewing. Last two episodes out today so can now be binged!

Last Dance very good. Bit weird in places how it jumps around the timeline but very good nonetheless.

I'm on season 3 now and I'm struggling to stay interested. Only so much mafia guys shooting each other I can take and some of the acting is a bit cringe worthy. Thoroughly enjoyed season 1 and 2 though

I thought it was superb. If you haven't already seen it, "Chasing Alaska" is somewhat similar and worth the time imo.

White Lines on Netflix. A whodunit murder based on rival families in Ibiza. Drugs, sex and violence in good measure. Story is ok too. Haven't got to the end yet so no spoilers ;)

Yes indeed, watched the first 2 series I think it was, just seen a few weeks back the 3rd advertised.
I'll be tuning in this weekend

Another vote for The Last Dance. MJ is still absolutely magnetic, and the supporting cast of characters isn't bad either! The footage they've captured both past and present is remarkable. I've now watched all 10 episodes and I'm sorely tempted to start it again!

If it hasn't been mentioned so far - Altered Carbon on Netflix - if you like sci fi stuff.

1st Season I thought was good, 2nd Season less so but worth a look.

I thought the same. First season was better than the second. Enjoyed both though. The future is a sex den of neon lights and oppression.

Halfway through Sky Atlantic’s Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered Children which is gripping .
There are some very upsetting scenes to be aware of though.

Mindhunter on Netflix is very good, I'm halfway through Season 2. Dramatisation of the FBI starting to research profiling of serial killers in the 70's.

Ozark - watched Season 3 as soon as it was released. Great ending "moment" to the series.

Another vote for Fauda, I’ve seen them all now and they are absolutely brilliant. Even if you’re not a fan of subtitles, it’s so good you’ll forget its subtitled in no time

Mayans MC series 2 has just started on BBC2 (available on iPlayer)

This is a spin-off of Sons of Anarchy and if you like that, it's well worth picking up

I've just discovered the sheer joy of Brassic on Sky One. I'm currently working through Season 1 and Dominic West as the cranky psychologist is an inspired piece of casting. Brilliant soundtrack too.

I don't think its new but I've found and binged the last ship on amazon prime. Nearly finished series 1 and I think there are 5.

Navy ship up in the antarctic for 5 months, heads home and finds out en route that 80% of the world has been wiped out with a virus and they've got a scientist on board with clues to the vaccine.

very formula and action but im really enjoying it. plus Rhona Mitra.

Into the Badlands on Amazon prime. Some of the best choreographed fight scenes you'll see. Some hammy over-acting too but it fits the characters, particularly Marton Csokas who played the bad guy in the Equalizer. Emily Beecham is great as the Widow.

I sat down to watch 4 Blocks (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5754602/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0) last night. It's a German TV show about the Arab gangs in Berlin. I'd read some really good reviews of it and was delighted to see it on Prime.

To my horror, it's not subtitled by almost every other foreign language TV show/movie. Instead, it's dubbed! And a really poor quality dub too, like an 80's kung fu movie. I could only tolerate about 3 minutes of it before switching it off.
