I really like the era but the title always made it sound a bit daft. Is it a serious show worth a look?

Just watched season 1 of Benidorm (all the seasons are on Youtube). I thought this kind of good old-fashioned, vulgar, politically-incorrect sitcom wasn't being made anymore. Lots of laugh-out-loud moments.

Just started this…. Pretty good so far

A touch of the ‘breaking bad’ about it

Blindspot is back and Ray Donovan returns at the end of this month. Ray Donovan's rumoured to have got rid of his Merc and got a Cadillac.

Brilliant stuff, again. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Any good New TV Series worth watching

I have just finished the one off series called Maniac on Netflix and found it to be a great watch.

Couldn’t stop watching until the end.

If you like series like Stranger Things, The Rain or Utopia you might like this.

It is a little weird and surreal set in what appears to be a near future reality.

It stars a slimmed down Jonah Hill, Justin Theroux and academy award winner Emma Stone.

I enjoyed it and would be interested to hear other people’s views.

Watched the first episode of the new Ray Donavan last night. Meh let’s hope he gets back on track kicking ass. Loved this show so far though.

Just watched episode 3. Intriguing so far, perked my interest. Jonah does look strange as a thin bloke

Agreed, it's brilliant. One of the best TV miniseries' I've seen. It's basically a really long film with ocasional episodic arcs. It's like a weird mix of Terry Gilliam, Stanley Kubrick and Quentin Tarantino.

I hope Netflix goes on to make more truly original stuff like this, and doesn't make a sequel.

I say original, but it's actually loosely based on a Norwegian miniseries of the same name. It's also on Netflix. I haven't watched it yet but apparently they are only very loosely connected. It's more "inspired by" than a remake.

Two for the BBC IPlayer users:

    1. Killing Eve - excellent watch, even if a bit far fetched at times. Thoroughly enjoyable.

    2. The Informer - just binged the lot over the past few days. Again a bit far fetched in places, but a very good watch otherwise.

I watched the first episode of The Little Drummer Girl from the beeb.

I know it's got some good reviews but, tbh, I didn't think it was brilliant. Perhaps I was thinking it would be another Tinker Taylor... You know that proper gritty fiction that the beeb used to do. It's just a little too slick and 'the drummer' is a particularly irritating character... easy on the eye though.

I was very disappointed with this offering, worst one they have done IMHO, I usually love their stuff!

I watched it too, jurys still out for me. I'll watch a second episode though and see if it picks up.

After being a big fan I didn't finish the last series, not sure why, just lost interest.

Currently watching Maniac, Get Shorty S2 and Ozark S1, enjoying them all.

Not new but! They are rerunning the west wing on Sky Atlantic, we never watched it first time around so have been recording it and watching it, it’s really good

    Resurrection Ertugrul.

A massive hit in Turkey and the first two seasons are available on Netflix.

If you are into game of thrones type and can hack subtitles, this will be right up your street.

    I've just started season 5!

    Mrs hates it, bonus!

The scene when they are double teaming a woman and duchovny starts to remember he has had her before but cant remember why he got rid.
Then he remembers just before runcle gets it.

That has got to be one of the funniest TV scenes of all time :)

Recently discovered Luther on Iplayer. Just ploughed through the first series - brilliant, really good characters and each of them morally ambiguous.

    Same for me.
I think it has been made to be deliberately confusing for the audience in an attempt to be 'clever', but it just makes it a bit annoying to watch.

Jury is still out for me, but I will watch more and see where it goes.

People Just Do Nothing Season 5 starts tonight on BBC2 10pm.

I'm genuinely gutted that House of Cards has finally come to an end. I began watching the sixth and final season with some trepidation due to Kevin Spacey's departure; like it or not he was Frank Underwood, but it was just as good, if not better, than previous seasons.

In the absence of a seventh season I'm hoping for a spin-off series, in the same vein as what Better Call Saul has become to Breaking Bad.

Is anyone else enjoying Young Sheldon?

For me, series 1 was good but the comedy tailed off in the later episodes. The start of series 2 wasn't great but Episode 3 - A Crisis of Faith and Octopus Aliens has made me laugh out loud. I'm picking on things like the stickers in the back window of George's truck.

Watch a couple of episodes to appreciate the family dynamic and you'll get more enjoyment out of the series, IMO.

Oh...I haven't watched a single episode of The Big Bang Theory.
