I watched Fear the walking dead as a bit of a filler show, thought it was just ok.

But since the walking dead finishing and the cross over of a character into fear the walking dead, its got very very good.
I nearly gave up on it, but its well worth getting back into if you did give up.

Anyone watching that 'Atlanta' series on BBC2? Saw a bit last night, think it was episode 3, looked good so going to watch from the start.

The Mercedes episode has to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen on TV…!

That was a very good one. I’m always amazed how few people seem to have seen Friday Night Dinner.

If you like that, you’ll probably like 'Mum' as well.

Series two of The Handmaid's Tale has just started on Ch 4 (Sunday 9pm). If those of you who watched the first series thought that harrowing, the opening episode set the bar very high...

Getting through 2 or 3 episodes per night, and now mid season 2.
Agree. I finished Altered Carbon and wanted another Sci Fi based show. The Expanse has been great. Get through the first two episodes that are a bit slow and it really takes off.

I’m three episodes in to Pacific. I don’ think it is very good. The scripts and acting are not a patch on Band of Brothers

Does it get better, or should I give up?

I haven't watched it for a few years... at points it does end up a bit like The Sullivans!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jbP9lSVtew

But I think its worth it, especially as you now have invested 3 episodes.

Bulletproof on Sky is quite good. A buddy cop show based in London, with guns and fast cars. Bodie and Doyle are back, though black.

Just finished watching the first series of animal kingdom. Excellent if you like crime dramas with lots of twists and turns! The pope character really is chilling!

Far from a royalist but my daughter convinced me to watch The Crown, watched the first 2 episodes and I have to admit so far the emotions and hugeness of the situation have been portrayed wonderfully.

Still have my doubts, as I said to my daughter I find it a bit strange watching something about somebody who is still here but I might watch a few more?

I've just started watching Netflix's Lost in Space and I'm enjoying it so far, not at all what I was expecting - it gets the thumbs up from me!

Yes, I’ve watched Season One - keep going, you’ll enjoy it and the season finale.

Fantastic production values yet again from Netflix.

I stumbled on this the other night. I thought it was like a UK version of a cross of heat and bad boys on a lower budget. It's enjoyable though.

Also started watching Killing Eve which I find pretty entertaining

Really enjoyed Band of Brothers but just like you I think I watched around 3 episodes of Pacific before I stopped watching it, might give it another go.

Totally agree but when something is this good I try to savor the experience by drawing it out as long as possible. 'Riding the clutch' so to speak. I managed to make the 4 episodes last 7 days.

    Agreed - very watchable.

I might have said before, but 13 Commandments is very good.

Another vote here for Happy, utterly deranged, violent and vey funny.

Not heard that expression before, but I'm not sure that makes your clutch last longer.

Not a new one but I'm currently rewatching The Sopranos having picked up the complete set on blu ray for a song. I remember it being very good, but I was mistaken, its bloody superb! Forgot that it was actually quite funny in parts as well as being brutal.

Just finished season 3 of Gomorrah, outstanding! Really is one of the best things in TV. Amazing acting, tense, brutal. Just superb TV and season 3 was best so far for me.

Switch to English subs and select the original Dutch audio. Makes for a much better experience than the terrible dub track. That said, I didn't rate The Rain and stopped watching after the first episode.

Probably "The Terror" Scott is an executive producer and I think his production company is behind it.

Not seen it yet. Not hearing much buzz on it to be honest.

Cobra Kai should be terrible ...but its great fun.

We found The Terror painfully slow and dull.

Good THINKING I remember Das boot about the German submarine was a lot better in German with the English subtitles.

6 episodes in and struggling to be honest. I'll not say why as don't want to put any spoilers.

Going to stick with it to the end given nearly half way through but haven't found it a patch on say making a murderer or evil genius.

Stick with it mate. I loved it but defo not a patch on MAM! Strangely I didn’t think much of evil genius but wasn’t fully concentrating when watching it. I might start it again.

That could be my failing with this to be honest. Not 'hooked' so mind wandering. But will deffo stick with it - I'm intrigued as to the outcome more than anything, and am purposely not reading up on the case (although I'm sure I've listened to a podcast about it before).

Let us know how you get on Al, enjoyed the original which was around 6 hours but the new one looks like double that so there must be a lot of guff in there

Yes i have watched 4 episodes of missions so i am behind.

It seems an intriguing drama although there are some glaring holes in it so best to turn the brain off if possible ( although the atlantis reference really did smack you about with a wet fish it was so bad)

Still enjoying it so far at about half way though.

On UKTV play website I was just catching up on Taskmaster and found "Eat your heart out - nick helm". A food / comedy show fronted by the comedian. I found it pretty funny but I have seen him on other shows and like his style / sense of humour

I recorded the 10 part “ Vietnam war” some months ago on BBC4.
    Ten 1 hour episodes.
But resisted watching it because PBS were going to screen the full 22hour+ series starting in the spring.
Apparently PBS did the 10 hour edited version for overseas broadcasting companies.
So I’m eight episodes in and thoroughly enjoying it and believe I’m seeing the full unedited version...
Half way thru ep8 the sound and picture starts playing up.
It was at the part of the Kent State student “massacre”
Managed to stick with it till the end but just to be sure watched the end of the BBC4 episode.
The BBC version had more footage!!
Film of the national guard loading live ammunition and the very bloody aftermath of the four students was in the edited version but not in the “full” PBS one... and that was just in a ten minute comparison.

I wonder how much more I’ve missed ?

...and although the footage is not HD, the program on BBC is so much clearer.

    Slightly miffed.
