No, but as so much of episode 1 and 2, at least, focus on Paddy Mayne's behaviour and character, it seems strange that they've portrayed him as so different to the real character, it would seem, even ignoring the physical build of the actor.
Taking the Cruise as Reacher character, at least Cruise portrayed Reacher's SENSE of invincibility in his manner, apparently Mayne wasn't one for profanity, while this one sounds like an Irish Guy Ritchie gangster - I'm waiting for his Dags to make an appearance!
I was looking forward to seeing the SAS's Italian campaign, but I might as well have watched Kelly's Heroes I think...

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Currently half way through watching Day of the Jackal on Now/Sky. So far so good, and an outstanding soundtrack.
About 2 episodes into spy drama The Agency - with Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere and Jeffrey Wright. So far, so good.
Have just finished our Christmas Netflix subscription with Ripley. I really enjoyed the slow, long burn of 8 episodes rather than feature length and Scott pulled off the creepiness of Tom Ripley really well (I'll admit to not having read the book though).
I've just noticed that series 3 of the excellent 'Astrid - Murder in Paris' is now available on More4
I am currently re-watching Severance as the new season comes out soon.
I am glad I did as I had forgotten most it.
On call , binge watching this on Prime it’s very good
Re-watching gangs of London before season 3 comes out.
Also, re-watching Prison Break - I remember it being very good, but it hasn't aged well at all!
Currently re watching Wolf Hall prior to the latest series, The mirror and the light.
If the newer series is anything like the original it will be superb.
Cheers,
Neil.
If you enjoy 'Astrid - Murder in Paris' you might like to try 'Patience', also on More4. It's just started and an English version of Astrid, set in York, starring the lovely Laura Fraser and Ella Maisy Purvis (who was diagnosed with autism aged 17 - the character she plays has autism).

Astrid is absolutely superb. So much so that I haven’t started Patience yet, I fear those remakes as they rarely raise the bar.

I am not much of a tv watcher but I have been impressed with the Netflix series ‘Hitlers Circle of Evil’
It outlines some of the lesser known aspects of their rise to power and how they constantly backstabbed each other to gain influence with Hitler. There is nothing new in politics and it’s a sobering reminder of what can go wrong if politicians are left unchecked.
Amazing how time can change your view on a show, one of the worst parts is the terrible use of stunt doubles, for things that aren’t even stunts, just scenes of them running or a small scuffle and the doubles are not a good look a like.

A very long way from being new but Deadwood (now on Parmaount+ with the final concluding movie on Prime) is like nothing else, fantastic dialogue and characters.
Just finished American Primeval last night on Netflix.
Not bad at all actually, worth a watch.
Dark Hearts. BBC. iplayer. Remember watching it a while ago and wasn't sure if I'd seen it. Started to watch again and realised I'd seen it before. Well worth a second look. Subtitles.

+1 for True Detectives S1. Great sound track as well.
Astrid restarts next Friday, 21:00 on more.
New season maybe?

Really enjoyed Landman, now watching Goliath on Amazon Prime.

Again, very good.
Hopefully. I'd assumed a new series was being flagged in the previous post by JonRA but we've already seen Series 3.
Having read the obituary of Gerd Heidemann in the FT a couple of weeks ago we've just started watching Selling Hitler.

A little bit dated, obviously, but quite a cast.
BeForeigner, weird Norwegian drama where suddenly people from 3 periods in history start to appear across the world.
It then shifts to ten years later and focuses on a Police investigation where one of the investigating officers is a Viking Shield Maiden who has completed her college courses and has started work as a Police Officer!
A fun watch, but Series 2 goes off on a tangent to drag in Jack the Ripper.
Started Squid Game 2 last night. Slow burner, but I was really drawn in.
Not exactly new but Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, the second series of the show is superb.
Cheers,
Neil.
Finished Squid Game S2 - thought it it was a bit "meh" TBH - lot's of padding and unnecessarily long scenes (voting for example). However, looking forward to S3 and (hopefully) a conclusion to the story.
Yes it is

Thanks. It's called Astrid et Raphaëlle on French TV, I just found all five seasons on France Télévisions replay, I'll give it a go.
We are enjoying Playing Nice on ITV, grabs you pretty fast.
