I finished Nightsleeper last night. Slightly predictable at times but I’m still amazed at how gripping it was for six hours on a train! Very entertaining viewing.
I started The Penguin today. Only half an hour in but it’s got my attention.

Started watching Severance a few days ago - about 4 episodes in and a bit trippy but getting better.
'Rivals' on Disney+ is a bonktastic hoot. Doesn't take itself seriously, great fun particulary if you grew up in the 80's (soundtrack and cars).
Penguin is very good, would never have guessed it was Colin Farrell.
Dr Odyssey on Disney is rubbish fun. Firmly in the so bad it’s good camp.
Imagine House on an ocean liner with none of the intelligence.
I realise I’m not really selling it, but if you like a bit of Agatha Raisin or Death in Paradise on a Sunday afternoon, I suspect you’ll like it.
Yes loving that show, easily the best of the Batman spin offs!

Four episodes into Series 1 of The Diplomat on Netflix. Really enjoying it so far - it's like The Thick Of It, but American and not a comedy.
This sent me back to watch series one again. I remember it being entertaining but also being disappointed by its ending that left with no resolution of any of the issues it raised.
Thankfully series two is carrying on and expending on where series one left off. I've only managed one episode so far and I'm looking forward to the rest. I can cope with a cliff-hanger at the end but hope it's a new one rather than a continuation of the present storyline.
Just started s2e2 of The Diplomat and had to do an look this up...Did The Diplomat actually film at St. Paul’s Cathedral?: “Nobody has ever closed St. Paul’s for four full days, which we did,” supervising location manager E.J. Richards tells Tudum. “Not even the queen.”
Season 2 of The Old Man on Disney
I keep trying this one but so far it seems to be a succession of people exiting Range Rovers before walking into a room and earnestly expositing. Followed by them earnestly expositing while walking out of a room and into a Range Rover.
Show-not-tell seems to have been lost a bit.
New season of Shetland and Cross starting on Prime in a couple of days
DotJ E6 is airing soon, Thursday 14th Nov.
I binge watched 1-5.
Oddly, 6-10 will be released one per week.
Here's hoping there will be a Season 2.
Who knows, The Jackal could be recruited into MI6 and given a code number! Tee hee.
As with many of us, I read the book, saw the original film & IMO the not so good Bruce Willis version.

I’m finding The Day of the Jackal a bit irritating - it’s enjoyable enough as a thriller in it’s own right, but The Jackal to my mind is the best of the best, a master of disguise and a meticulous planner. This guy’s a bit of a bumbling idiot - shit Jackal from a parallel universe who keeps just escaping certain death by the skin of his teeth…for now at least.
Lioness S2 is on Paramount now, really good.
Cheers..

3 episodes into Silo on Apple TV. Enjoying it so far..
Watched some crackers recently,
Penguin,
Jackal,
Just finished Cross on Prime, another brilliant series.
Everything’s downhill from now :(
Another thumbs up for Cross (Prime) - really enjoyed it

Not a patch on the first series, gave up after 3 episodes. Story line is just poor, shame because it did have promise, but the acting is just laboured because they are just too old to be trying to do action stuff.

I’ve read the book which was fantastic and the TV production is equally good. On Disney
