Black Mirror has always been very variable and generally overrated by TV critics. I have just watched 'San Junipero' which all the critics rave about and I think it won an Emmy, but wondered what all the acclaim was about. Hardly an original idea but it was well executed.

Had to give up on Love/Hate due to the adverts on itvx.

Rewatching The Offer (on Prime). Simply brilliant for people who love The Godfather. But even if youre not a fan, the story of how the film got made is utterly fascinating.

Just watched all of On Call on Amazon Prime. Extremely well shot and acted, and only half hour episodes which makes it a bit easier to get into. Give it a try

I love Black Mirror and enjoyed the first few episodes of the new season. Got to Hotel Reverie last night, this episode was terrible.

Just started watching Hacks on Sky which were loving. Would definitely recommend

I have to agree. I didn't even finish Hotel Reverie. Hopefully the remaining episodes will be back on form.

Watched first 3 episodes of Mobland.
Guy Ritchie usual nonsense of course but quite enjoyed it.
    Good cast.

Just stumbled on this last night and watched 1st episode, looks promising. Helens Irish accent is amusing at times but Pierce seems to have nailed it

I don't get the unpleasant comment, he always comes across as a really nice bloke.

Yep. He cares and does a lot for animals which makes him OK by me.

We have started watching, too. I love Jon Ham and Amanda Peet. I wish he would find a regular job! I must say I don't like the internal strife I feel when Ham puts himself in highly precarious situations.

Interesting, all I can find online is that filming of S2 started at the beginning of this month, maybe you have the 'Back to the Future' subscription package?

The Last of Us S2 Ep2: Oh my word....an absolutely piledriver of an episode. If you are invested in The Last of Us, and you should be, then this one will leave you feeling hollow. I can't remember a more visceral, harrowing, emotionally destructive hour of TV since the Red Wedding. Where we go from here, all I know is it won't be where you think or want it to go. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Although I wish it hadn't happened.

Thought it was strange as season 1 hasn't been out that long. Hope S2 is as good as S1. Hope the story line between Tommy and Rebecca plays out more than it did in S1. Thought it was hotting up but then nothing developed.

Season 1 of 'Boss' on Prime is excellent. Kelsey Grammer is superb as the malevolent mayor of Chicago, constantly scheming and aiming to keep one step ahead of his opponents and, at the same time, struggling with the onset of Lewy body dementia.

I had the feeling that the writers of season 2 had been watching too much David Lynch. I watched all of season 2 attentively but at the end had no idea what it was all about, especially the occasional red herrings and plot dead-ends (goats? Harmony Cobel's back story?). I had to Google to know what it all meant, and while the answers and speculation made sense I don't know how anyone reached the conclusions that they did.

1883 was very good, a real powerhouse performance from the daughter, 1923 is not so good, struggling after 3 eps, just not that engaging.
