Yes, I have found this surprisingly enjoyable, helped in no small measure by Miss Fix growing on me.

I am even contemplating tracking down the original film. I have the book, so will give that another read also.

He was a writer before his time imho.

My other surprising seasonal favourite was Wurzel Gummidge! Made for kids, it has deep undertones of the old religion. Given that their purpose is to entertain - they entertained me!

Currently enjoying the second series of '4 Blocks' on Amazon Prime (series 1-3 available)

Set in Berlin and about an Arab drug lord, it's pretty brutal at times but I'm finding it a gripping watch.

    Chestnut Man

Currently on Netflix, excellent Danish thriller always seem to do these things better...

    Fear of the walking dead.

Watched all the episodes of TWD, up to the current S11E8 over the past few months and loved it. So started on FOTWD and enjoying that too so far.

Tried Stay Close on Netflix, which is a Harlen Coben adaptation - couldn't get beyond episode 2, bit meh - I don't think the translation from US to UK works and the characterisation was a bit weird to say the least.

First few series are really good....but it spirals into TWD dogma we gave up in the end about series 5 or 6

Dexter: New Blood is worth watching.

Alomost all the way through 'American Rust' on Sky. It's a bit of a slow burn, but great performances from Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney

    Anyone else seen this?

Check out McCartney 3-2-1 with Rick Rubin. I’m half way through and, after having watched “Get Back” my appreciation of McCartney as a musician has grown even more.

    +1 on Dexter New Blood
Looking forward to the season finale later this week - can't wait!
I must say, at the beginning of the series i wasn't a huge fan (unlike my wife), I had only been listening in, while working on something else in the meantime. By the end of the series I caught myself being more and more addicted to it, looking forward to the new episodes. The New Blood is even better than the previous series, with a lot of twists, it truly made our Xmas break, put the cherry on top in the evenings

    I really enjoyed this too.

It became quite Fargo/Coen Bros at times - which is a good thing IMO.

Available on iPlayer if anyone wants to see it.

Just got one episode to watch, it’s good although episode five was a little confusing at times

Another vote for The Chestnut Man on Netflix.

Great Scandi-thriller, but crikey the subtitles roll on very quickly so you need to stay alert!

Absolutely love Ray Donovan series. Watched the movie last night…. Honestly feel they rushed this one out for god only knows why. Even the cast have commented on why the writers have not done anymore seasons. V Disappointing for me YMMV

+1 for Dopesick - such a compelling watch! Very much in the style of Spotlight, Dark Waters, The Post and The Big Short.

Next on the watch list is Yellowjackets, which was recommended by a friend, the premise seems interesting and might just stop me from cancelling Netflix for a few months.

“The kings” on Discovery+. The story of Hearns, Hagler, Leonard and Duran through their various fights. Absolutely riveting especially since none of them ducked each other and fought all comers. Extremely well shot against the political backdrop too.

I'm very excited about the new After Life. The first two were perfect TV.

If you want something silly & 80s I'm midway through the 3rd season of Glow - the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Good fun with the odd bit of serious stuff thrown in. I surprised myself with how much I've enjoyed it. Netflix if you fancy 80s women throwing each other around in small leotards, and sometimes considerably less...

Thoroughly enjoyed the new series of Afterlife (Amazon Prime Video). Couldn't help but binge the whole lot on one evening and felt disappointed when it came to an end.

Maybe not quite up to the standard of the previous two series, but still well worth a watch. Great TV.

Maybe not quite up to the standard of the previous two series, but still well worth a watch. Great TV. There was one moment in the WC which I flipped to download later to my TickTock account. The tool helped me greatly in that!
The older I get the more I want to rewatch old good series rather than watch modern "films/series".
