Great watch in its 36 and 39mm versions but for an only watch I'd want the date.
You've got a few possible trades there for the Explorer though :)
my son has just gone travelling so left me his 39mm Explorer and I didn't have time to put it in the safe so been wearing it for a couple of days
my collection includes GMTc, GV, '71 Speedmaster Mk II, JLC Master Geo Compressor, Zenith Big Pilot and a 5712. clearly nothing quite as simple and clean as the Explorer
it has got me thinking whether this is all the watch you would ever need - simple, clean, understated, elegant, timeless .......maybe he won't be getting it back !

Often thought the same, I've always got the "what if one watch" question on my mind and so far, nothing has pipped it. Well, the Speedmaster is always in contention.
Got one and yes as part of a collection it makes sense (to me)
But as one watch only? Nah it would have to be a PP 5711
that and a gshock for the gardening, car, cage fighting etc ...
Have my 39mm Exp almost a year now and its relegated everything else to second place. Ill be adding a triple six at some point though but only because I like them.
On my second after foolishly selling the first - date not vital for me and for a daily watch it cant be beaten.
