What did Santa bring, that wasn't watch related?

I decided to bring a knife in a couple of months ago for my xmas, an Eickhorn Solingen, Nordic Bushcraft (4.8" blade):

Bought too early though. As the zombies were getting pretty overwhelming on the latest series of "The Walking Dead", I thought I better get some cutlery with more reach, for when the series returns after the mid season siesta. My longest (obviously non-UK legal carry) piece only has a 5" blade, so I got one with 7.75" blade - a Bark River Knife And Tool, STS-7:

I quite like the swedge on it, and unbeknownst to me when I ordered, it was from the first production run too, which was a bonus.

Here are the two together (as Jim Skelton would say) "butt to butt":

    Bring it on zombies!!!!!!

I got a 2016 calendar with photos of cows.

Maybe not just as good as last years which had photos of goats in trees, but I still like it.

I like goats in trees. Who wouldn't?

I've seen them for real in Morocco. One of the most amazingly surreal things I've ever seen.

The most hideous "old man" gold cuff links - from my wife and daughters (who usually have good taste). Definitely going back - I couldn't even pretend to like them.

I did a few other nicer things though (I'm impossible to buy for - just buy my own things generally). Plus, it's the thought that counts.

I got some star wars related gifts, mug, bath stuff etc

However, my nephews managed to find some little sherry glasses with famous grand national winners in them at a charity shop

They cost pennies - but I'm stoked with them tbh

Stone island jumper and a track day - well pleased.

Oh yes - a wind chine for the garden (why? I have no idea, but it will be used as a target for my air rifle).

A few bits and bobs from Barbour, some scotch and triple sec, and the wife was very pleased with Ticket to Ride as one of her presides, which was secretly just as much for me as her!

    Cool Something Wonderful

After Mass, our four children and son-in-law came by with a Christmas bag that had a coffee mug wrapped up in tissue paper in it.

It had the definition of "Grandpa" on it and some kind of picture in it.

Still trying to figure out why they cheaped out when I went full boat on each and everyone of them.

Although recently estranged from the Mrs., it is really, "A Wonderful Life"! ;-)

Socks! 3 sets of multicoloured, idiotic socks, a classic car magazine and a yachting magazine. Just what I wanted! My son and one of his friends had a hilarious moments choosing socks, he told me afterwards.

A copy of Goldfinder by Keith Jessop.
Pioneer salvage diver who salvaged the $100 million in gold from HMS Edinburgh.

About a third through it, good read so far.

Got one of these from her indoors (with a few not so subtle hints)

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Korg-Volca-K...rds=korg+volca

It's in England and we're in France so haven't had a chance to play with it yet. But it can do this:

One of my favourite Lego models.

This Christmas I got a Porsche Cayenne from the mother in law. Seemed a bit rude to tell her it was the 997 I wanted. Sadly it's only an RC model but good fun.
