    Spirit of the Forum

Something that many mock, or abuse with their SC sales, fanatical ranting, thread starring and general stirring.

Just received this PM from a member (who I will name later if he doesn't mind!):

    Hi Lewis,

Hope you're well and are enjoying the Christmas break.

A bit out of the blue this one but I usually keep on top of my record keeping when it comes to watch deals and I have just been updating them for things over the past few months and I've found that I sold you the xxx for what I thought I paid for it, which was £1,600. I actually paid £1,500 mate, so I owe you £100. I've never been into trying to make money from watches so let me know payment details and I'll get it sent over.

    All the best

I thought that was one of the nicest personal gestures I have experienced on here. The ton is going to the Fundraiser of course.

    Merry Christmas one and all.

    I've always been fond of

    Which should definitely be used!

    Well done!

Now that's the way to do it. What a splendid thing to do.

What a lovely gesture and indeed what TZ should be all about although alas you don't hear this as much as you use to these days.

    Many thanks for posting

Having seen a fair bit of ranting on the forum, mostly sales, as of late it is nice to hear something positive. It's good to be reminded that TZ is a great family to be part of.

"Name and fame", I like that!

Great gesture melds the forum into a place of trust, which is important when you think of the items we cherish and sometimes trade.

Name him/her and he/she goes on 'ze list' of members to do deals with :)

It's like buying one of those holidays where you get a refund if the price drops before you go.

    Haha I'm not Muslim Dave

Hopefully it goes a little way to redeeming my thread about wiping bottoms

In all seriousness though, I do love this place and have benefited from wearing some great watches over the last couple of years for great prices, and good karma should always be passed around

Merry Christmas folks, hope santa brings you everything you've asked him for

And you should name them, so that they can be praised further (if they so wish to be named, if not, more kudos)

    joaocpneves

After I'd paid joaocpneves for an Omega but not seen it, he pm'd me to say he'd noticed the AR coating wasn't perfect and he was refunding some of my money.

If he'd said nothing, I'd still have been a very happy bunny, because, when it arrived, the watch was in beautiful condition. However, his meticulous honesty made it even better.
