    Card machine recommendations (payment terminal)

    Evening all.
I did do a search on this, but "card" and "machine" in a thread together matched about a million posts!!

I need a card machine, just a handy wireless terminal that I can use on a market stall (possibly even used elsewhere through my phone?)
There are so many out there but almost all of them have trust pilot reviews heavily focused on either One or Five stars. Very little in the middle, according to their reviews they are either the best thing since sliced bread or absolute scumbag scammers! Hahaha.

SquareUp? Anybody using them? That's one of the few I'd actually heard of. Barclaycard looks promising but it's quite an expensive rate.

Thanks in advance. I just want a basic machine that comes with a decent real-world recommendation.

Square up seems to be the one of choice from my farmers markets & similar ventures. No idea on charges for the vendor, but am confident when I see that as an option vs my rare cash stash I carry just for emergencies.

EE offer a tap to pay service if you have an iPhone?

I recently signed up with Lopay for the scouts group that I am treasurer for. We use it for donations, collecting fees for activities etc. you can either just use your phone to take payments or using a little terminal pad that connects to your phone for larger payments that need the card inserted rather than tap and pay. The fees seemed to be very competitive for our needs.

My daughter uses a sum up machine for her little cake business.
The fees are reasonable and they pay out quickly.

A family member is a plumber and uses sum up for all his business. Rates them highly.
