    Something blue for the weekend

The first of two new incoming - a Quartz "grab and go" for the weekend.

I've been looking for a reasonably cheap and hopefully durable weekender, capable of taking some abuse and standing up to my usual weekend activities- cycling, kayaking, and gardening/diy activities.

As the search went on, not having to set the time and date whenever it was worn became a very important feature, so my initial search for something automatic and Seiko broadened. Eventually while trawling the net over Xmas, I stumbled on this- a Citizen Eco Drive Pro Master

Being blue also differentiated it from my other couple of divers and after reading a couple of positive online reviews, I placed the order.

I wasn't too keen on the standard polyurethane strap when I ordered it, but on arrival, decided to give it a try. However, after a day's use, I found it increasingly uncomfortable - prompting the need for a change onto one of Eddies NATO's.

Initial impression after a weeks ownership, apart from the strap, impressed with overall finish.

Positives - time keeping spot on and very legible with great lume.
Minor gripes - the date window is probably recessed a little too deep making the reading of it difficult at some angles and the bezel's outer surface is a little smooth making a little fiddly to turn.

Finally a picture with newly acquired blue Zulu.

Anyway, I have another incoming tomorrow which I'm really excited about. It should have arrived before Xmas, but was delayed.

Iconic assure me that it will be delivered in the morning, so I hope to be posting again tomorrow.

    Vary nice.
Citizen is more adventurous in styling then Seiko in this range. And, way less boring.

These are great and come with a 5 year warranty unless I'm mistaken.

For the autistic brigade (me included); how well does the second hand line up with the markers?

That's something I was going to mention in my original post, but decided not to as I thought this wouldn't be of interest.

The answer, smack on the markers.

And yes, a five year guarantee.
