hi, this is one of ours, we call it "rat" i rescued it from a car in the college car park three years ago this xmas, it was hidden under the bonnet, i heard it meowing, it took ages to get it out.
it was covered in oil and muck and had a pig type tail (which is now like basil brushes tail), we called it ronnie as we thought it was a girl but about a year later it was washing its parts and i noticed it wasnt a girl!.

This is our rescue cat. He's now 10 but we got him as a 13 week old kitten. He now see's his purpose in life to bully our neighbour's dog's.

Pipkin (Official name Domino), our rescue cat picked up in January. She hid in a cardboard box for the first month, but slightly more chilled now.

Bella just came back from the vets. Went for a lump on her side which turned out only to be a cyst but found out she also has only one nostril working due to cancer of/behind the nose and a small tumour on her brain. The cancer is eating away at the nose from the back which has taken the pressure off her brain caused by the tumor. She's at the end of the road.

Poor thing only has three legs (one of the back legs was taken off at birth due to it being a bit like the arm or a T-Rex). You'd think she's had a hard life but she's lived in luxury. Two giant prawns daily, raw meat once each week and tuna/salmon more often than she should. We made burgers last night so we could fry her a bit and dice it up.

My sister in law is a vet so when the time comes we'll hopefully put her down at home. Not a bad innings at 15.

I feel for you both. Bella reminds me of my cat Percy who after 20 years had to be put to sleep I cried like a baby.

    Show us your Cats!

My wife has bought a new cat. We already have three (more or less feral cats roaming in the forest around our house) and now she has found a breeder with a litter of 5 kittens. Maine Coon X Norwegian Forest Cat. Like one of my mates put it this afternoon: a feline Alsatian.

First she'd tried to get another shelter cat, but due to Covid, there are no cats in the shelter anymore! So she turned to breeders. Found this breeder with one day old kittens in his house. After much talk on the phone etc, the breeder agreed to 'give' us one. A pepper-and-salt coloured cat. ('Give' should be read as: 'For the price of nice watch').

Apparently, it's not easy to tell if it's a boy or a girl! I didn't know that. It takes a few weeks. Anyway. The names we've chosen: Louis or Lizzy.

He (or she) will turn out to be lovely I'm sure. We had a Bengal/Norwegian Forest Cat tom just under three weeks ago. He is a total delight, loves to play, but very gentle, very loving, and very clever. You can literally see him looking at things and working them out. Taking him for his jabs in half an hour, not the usual rigmarol with a cat as he loves his carrier!
Wishing you every enjoyment with your new one.

Lost this little fella in April last year. Batsh*t mental and hilarious antics, had a habit of sitting exactly where you needed him not to be.

Was a fighter until the end and managed to spend one last night with him curled up on the bed before making the painful decision that his time was up (after trying to jump on the bed and his back legs just giving way, lost 2kg in a week just before).

RIP Homer, much loved and dearly missed.

He look's exactly like a cat I had for 20 year's (Percy) when we took him to the vet's for the final goodbye I cried like a baby in the vet's.
    Heartbreaking.

As did I. Heartbreaking. Still got his brother with us who’s a very different character (and suffering with hyper thyroid issues).

Lion taking an interest in the snow while the kids played out in it.
This is just after he went tonto at the back door trying to get at the falling flakes.
The other two beasties took the sensible option of staying indoors, asleep.

Meet Louis (Lewis). #4 on the list of cats. The other three refuse to come into the house. This Maine Coon x Norwegian forest car looks to be different. Very vocal and super-friendly.
