These days I am pretty much wearing all of my watches on Perlon. Its light, incredibly durable, I can get the length and fit just right and the watch head sits perfectly on my wrist.
All are genuine Eulit with the exception of the Fluco fitted to the Shanghai 1955 reissue - this is not so good quality but I couldnt get a suitable Eulit in 19mm. My favourites are the grey ones and I have a 20mm one of these on the way for the Zex. There are brown and black gold tone buckle ones waiting to go on my gold Seamaster when it arrives back from its service by Duncan.
I will keep an eye out for NOS vintage ones in the new year I think.
Just thought that I would share that with you
Ian
Looking good Graham
Where did you get it from?
Im not sure as to why grey ones seem to be my favourites
There are some similar ones on eBay - at a price!
(Im just in the process of buying a second car at the moment which had curtailed watch and strap buying until the new year)

I love the 6105 on a perlon. Have a black one, too but the grey looks great.
Vinwagal on eBay (from Australia) searched 'vintage nylon watch strap', paid Au$9 (about £4.63) plus $4 postage (£1.95), lots of colours, widths, all 1970s NOS (it says!),

I mentioned a very dubious character called Derek on the BBC shirtlifter topic - not one and the same, eh?
I think that I may be addicted to perlon, for all of the same reasons Ian!
I'm afraid that I have paid over the odds on occasion - but I usually get at least a 10% discount and they really are superb straps.
I also rather like some of the jazzy tartan designs.
I have a couple more in the pipeline... I may have a problem...
Some great examples there Matthew - where do you get them from?
The problem with eulits is that the buckles are shit. Eddie used to do a fantastic braided NATO. Don't know why he won't stock them again. If someone can point me to a good source for braided nylon straps that have a decent buckle I'd be interested to hear about it. Thanks.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I was lucky to initially pick some up from random eBay sellers, but as stock has dried up I have resorted to timesofplenty in the US which reliably has stock but at a hefty price. I've come to the conclusion that it is worth paying the extra for the quality as I expect them to last far longer than the cheapies.
I don't mind them but WatchObsession sell replacement buckles in four colour options at three quid a pop to give some alternative options.
Thanks Matthew
Ive bookmarked the site!

All mine are Rios and I've found them to be great. The buckles look flimsy and a bit rubbish, but I've never had a problem with them either.
The level of comfort they give on the wrist is unparalleled.
I made an offer on a 20mm brown but feel a bit mean, they aren't expensive.
One for all you Eulit experts: have done a bit of digging and Eulit seems to be the ones to go for. What's the difference between the Kristall and the Panama?
As said by Velorum a couple of posts back, the 'Panama' range tend to be the thicker weave, although I have occasionally found the thinner type marked as 'Panama'. 'Kristall' always seem to be the thinner variety and include the tartan styles. There is also the 'Air-Look' which is like a fishing net or string vest.
I'm new to this Perlon malarkey but after my first cheapy, which I liked but it's not perfect, I've now seen enough - and now even more in this post (thanks Ian) - to have just ordered a couple of the Rios version. But I love the look of the slightly thicker Panama, so I think a further order might be forthcoming.
It's one of those looks that stealthily grows on you. And it's better in reality because they're so comfortable, too.
I've not tried any apart from the Eulit ones but have found them to be very comfortable. I really like that they can be adjusted to get such a spot on fit and like you have settled on grey also after trying some black and blue ones.
Some of the NOS ones on eBay were stupid money so instead I ordered a new colourful one from Campagnolo:

This seller has some 20mm Eulit perlon two piece straps:

And there are some braided NATOs here:

A new Eulit perlon arrival this week, I quite like this combo:
Another Perlon fan here. Another source is Squinky: he usually has a lot in stock, too.
I had a look as well. Squinky has a lot of straps described as 'tropical braided nylon 1960s NOS' that look very similar to the Eulit Kristall range. It would be interesting to know what the quality is like.
Yellys always have plenty of the modern Eulit Kristall (black) and Panama (coloured) weave in stock but the Panama isn't the same quality or thickness as the vintage version.
Thanks for that, all added to my Perlon databank .
I washed my daughters yellow WatchObsession 'Perlon' strap (it's actually normal Nylon) this week, which was pretty minging. It came up a treat but I noticed that it had spread somewhat, from 18mm to around 19mm. It does see a lot of fairly rough use though so I can't really complain at a tenner.
I'm finally getting some.
Eddie
Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Is it OK to really dislike these?
Ian,
did you get one of these grey (extra) tropical straps? If not I have one in 20mm that you can have - it's as new, only tried it on. However I did rob the buckle for a project strap I made so you'd have to swap yours around maybe. Anyway, pm your address if it's any use to you.
Cheers
Ah well, back into the drawer of things I can't quite bring myself to throw away:)
Unless anyone else wants it...
I have a dark red one and I love it but the grey didn't work for me at all.
Dentsmithy has very kindly offered to send me the grey 'tropical' Perlon strap as I have been interested in giving one a try. Thank-you, Chris!
Are they washing machine safe? (I've got a Eulit Palma Pacific with fixed buckle).
Inspired by this thread I've just received a Eulit Perlon Palma
Seems a bit stiff at the moment - but it will be interesting to see how it performs longer term

Looks good
The stiffness will pass as it gradually moulds itself to the contours of your wrist
