    Bulova Sea King Automatic

This is very likely against the prevailing flavors of the forum but would like to know if anybody has any experience or views about this.
Quirkily and aggressively styled. Large case.

Good value for a 1000m Ti dive watch. Not sure i'd wear it very often.

Spotted this for £149 in the Argos Black Friday sale.

    Not for me, Raj.

Some of the asthetics would look ok in isolation, but throw together it's just looks like a DIY Argos edition.

Z22 style rubber - never been a fan
I'm assuming "Graham" lump on the side is some form of He release. No need that thing.
    Dial looks ok
Looks like the lume would shine like a torch
Date window looks a little lost
    Hands are quirky
Bezel looks like alright but it dwarves the dial
Crown looks small an out of place
Lugs look ok, but can't see the profile
    I'm guessing it's big? 45mm +

All IMHO of course. It's good to be different.

Well,I went ahead and got it
Obvious points are size and the outgrowth on the left. It is a 50mm case - so no doubt about the size. The protruberance on the left is a bezel locking mechanism.
Case is made from very nicely finished grade II Ti. The bezel is large and aggressively styled. Nice, bright black dial with applied markers, fabulous lume. The strap is like a Seiko Z20 but fitted and much better. Movement is a Miyota 8215.
I quite like it ( I know there is something wrong with me )but I already know will be in a tiny minority. It has the Citizen Autozilla DNA in my eyes. Some pics tomorrow- a promise AND a threat/warning 😄😄

Ah, missed this thread a few days ago, your real world photos are better than the stock ones, I really like it too, like you say, a bit different, I think it has more the 800m and 300m DNA than the Autozilla, but it certainly has presence, its a cliche but its very 'tool watch' ....

Shape slightly reminiscent of the old Tissot seastar 1000 to me...

    Me like.
It looks much better then I thought. I spotted it a few months ago and liked it from the start. Also like it's little brother in steel. Whell not little actually.
    Enjoy,
    Guillermo

50mm is way too big for my sensibilities, however I really do like the design and your photos look much better than the stock ones, a chunky Seiko/Citizen style with a bit of Ploprof DNA
