Just one word; WOW!
Mark
Well, I finally have it - my grail that is! [ Sorry all, photobucket has lost my photos!]
[There's been much discussion of what a grail is - for me, it is a watch I have wanted for quite a while; which I see as my main horological object of desire - given that it is financially attainable; and which has taken some time and mental debate to select, decide that I could - and should - buy and, finally, acquire. /// The Holy Grail would be the ultimate one lusted after but unattainable - probably one of many wonderful De Bethunes for me.]
So, if you will excuse some quick photos, what is it?
First the tease :-
Then, the hint :-
And now, here it is, nested in its inner box :-
and then, stripped bare :-
Yay - its an ALS 1815 Up/Down in Rose Gold! And, to celebrate, here's some more quicky eye-candy pix for anyone who got this far!
Thanks for your indulgence - I'm a happy chappy now!

Good lord, I can only imagine what you're feeling Many congrats on obtaining your grail
Congrats, that's a beauty. And, nice pics too.
Well done - very nice.
Stunning watch. Can you explain the left hand sub dial for thickies like me.
I got my grail watch in April this year, so I know how you are feeling. No flipping in 3 months time.
That's a beautiful watch, enjoy & it must be a great feeling attaining your grail. Excellent pics as well.
The left hand sub-dial is the Up/Down bit (or, in German - heh, I'm learning a language - Auf/Ab) - the power reserve indicator. It has a 72 hour Power Reserve at the Auf point, falling of course into the Empty/Warning red region towards the Ab point. And, no, this one is for good!
Want want want want want! That's seriously nice!!!
Amazing photos and congratulations on obtaining the Grail!! Now what's next !?? ;)
Beautiful. It makes my Dornbluth seem a long, long way away............

Big thumbs up from me, lovely watch, congratulations.
The movement decoration is beautiful. Stunning watch
But I'm still confused about the missing seconds hand on that pic? Where did it go?
Congrats on your grail, great watch.
Beautiful looking watch! Congratulations
Nice one ! Rose gold is a favourite of mine.
Far more appealing than yet another steel diver/chrono with a black dial.

A very nice watch indeed- pure class.
In terms of watch brands I've always thought A.Lange just about top of the tree-
anyone who buys one of their watches obviously knows their stuff and has good taste-
and are not simply buying it 'to look after it for the next generation'.
Fabulous looking watch and great photos. That really is worthy of the word 'grail'!
Indeed a tasty watch. Yummy!
Great choice.
Loving that
Well done on achieving it ...
Stunning watch, you must be VERY happy!!!!!

Wonderful watch, have tried one on once at AD in Germany, and it was breathtaking. Big congrats on getting your grail!
Beautiful watch. Congratulations. One day I'll have a Lange too. Hopefully...
There are no words other than... WOW!
Massive congrats.
Great watch, great pictures. Congratulations.
What a stunner! Show us a wrist shot when you can!
Very very nice!
Congratulations!!
A truly beautiful thing. Not just a watch but a work of art also. It oozes quality and understated style. I love it. Enjoy it for many years to come.
Fabulous.
An absolutely beautiful piece. Enjoy with great pleasure.
Beautiful watch. Congratulations.
Congratulations - what a beautiful watch.
As DB9yeti said, that truly belongs in the category of possible grails.
May I also add my congratulations :)
To get one's grail is always a dream come true. But add the fact that it is a Lange & Sohne is something extra :)))
IMO, L&S are most certainly at or very near the top of the tree and maybe higher than Patek.
Congratulations, once again
