    In reality, thewar ended for Germany the same way the war ended for Russia. The only difference for Germany was the Allied occupational forces prevented a bloody revolution and civil war.

    (The Allies did attemptto intervene in the Russia Civil War from 1918 through 1920 but neveraccomplished much and withdrew. Most people don't realize that British, Australian,and US troops landed in northern Russia in July 1918.)
